Couple of thoughts for you: If you are using an external microphone, get a mic sock for it. If you are using the internal microphone (of the camera), then take a cotton ball and tape it over the inlet for that microphone. You can experiment with how tight to leave the cotton ball so as to cut down - but still leave some wind noise. Regular old Scotch / Majik tape works good and doesn't leave a residue on the camera. Technically, you’re supposed to ( not that anyone does), wait 72 hours BEFORE popping anything out of a mold! But, in order to do this, and still maintain a rapid production line you’d need several sister molds, and nobody that I know implements the correct system. To expensive they say. They’re right, it’s expensive but you get a much better part as far as quality! And, the longer it settles in the mold, the easier it will pop out! Polyester resin shrinks roughly 3%.
@@yaishmatheen4274 well that depends on who’s makin her! I’ve seen and worked with boat molds up to 31’ long. They’re used to lay up fiberglass boats. Love these centre consul boats you guys use over there. They look very capable. They are not so common here in uk, partly due to fuel and engine costs. You don't really see more than 2 outboards on anything.
Florida is center console central since mostly everything is salt water. In the American midwest and on the Great Lakes you don't see quite as many. In my experience, Europe seems to be limited to megayachts and sailboats. I was surprised as a kid when I went to Europe for the first time to visit my family in Ireland and nobody had center console boats despite it being a resort town (Kinsale). Then I learned it was like that throughout continental Europe as well, perhaps with the exception of the Balearic Sea resorts in Spain where they have a lot of rentals. I now own a home there and have considered having a small center console there to use, but these days who knows how the logistics of such an adventure would work. Just to add - in South America, center consoles are equally popular and they have some amazing makes down there! There's one in particular made in Colombia that I rented once on a trip and wish they sold them here!
Centre helm boats never seem to have a good place to sit though...they always look like two's company and three is a crowd, all the face plants on here are from people (usually women) who are sitting at the side of the helm or at the bow. The sea-fishing boats all seem to do well on this inlet due to their hull shape, good stability and a gentle landing due to the V shape of their hulls.

Where was the big mistake? Something I notice is how popular center console boats with open bows are there. Lots of deck for fishing and play. Terrible if the sea gets really rough. Maybe were seeing really rough days there in your videos? Just wind chop, where I'm at we average 2' to 8' swell and then 1' to 4' wind chop on top in differing directions. Open bow boats aren't used much here. When it gets really rough we get enormous seas of 20' to 30' swells and can have 10' of confused wind chop on top of that. Everyone stays off the water in those conditions.
Those sleek bows look great on the drawing boards of interior designers and boat shows but they have far too much lift and look like a POS in choppy waters.
Kept her trimmed up and rode the crest, that's what an experienced boater looks like. The short length of the boat kind of helps with that wave set too.
