Thanks for the Review! The cloud charge kinda sold me! And the flying tent durability test, lol. Not to mention the super distracting but amazing beard! I mean that in a good way. Cheers. ;)
You should put a Amazon affiliate link in your description. Would make you a few $$. I’d click on it right now if it were there. Thanks for the video man!!!
Great. I got one ordered for bicycle exploring/rough camping thru the Southwest desert this winter. It sounds like I picked the right one. I too have an Anker 20000 mAh battery pack.
Hello. How's this solar panel working out? How many hours does it take to charge your 20000mah battery pack in full sun? I just bought the Aukey wireless 20000mah battery pack and looking into getting this panel. Thanks.
@@rgraz4929 it took several hours to charge from 0. It worked really well. Rode from California to Missouri. Took 2 months & it charged my phone & lights.
@@josephhaddakin7095 That sounds awesome. Thanks so much! Not sure if it's accurate, but I read it takes an hour of full sun for each 1000 mah. So 20 hrs... so 3 days of sun?
It’s a very reliable product. Since this expedition I’ve continued to use the same panel. I think it’s been almost six years now and it still works quite well.
Mine melted in the Arizona summer sun. To be fair, it was on my car's dashboard. Pissed me off. The panels didn't melt, but the USB connectors inside did.
It gets well over 100 F outside the car in the summer in Tucson, up to about 113, or so. Inside the car is cooking much higher. The highest inside temperature I read this year was 124 F. @@clarke7703
Just bought the newer version on Amazon yesterday for 54.30 with tax total 58.51 shipped. What is the biggest power bank that's compatible for this? No AC power banks? Your review was my decision for my purchase yesterday. Thanks.
@@blibertinerealm8549 I bought it on a countdown sale. When I saw it, there was 7 hours remaining before the sale ended. There are links in the below section in various product reviews on youtube that you can click on for discount codes. I have saved a lot of money going that route as well.
@@BOOSTEDLASER None so far. It’s worked for all the applications I’ve put it through. Took it to the Himalaya before the Pandemic and it continued to function properly.
Powerbanks will usually be a lighter option for anything up to a week or two - depending on your power needs. Where this really comes into its own is expedition use where you'll be off-grid for long periods of time.
Like @spyonaz5761 said, I used an external usb ammeter to measure output as well as an external battery bank from Anker. Together everything worked quite nicely and was very light for the capability.

Awesome review! Thanks! I bought 20W big blue and will test it in my next trip.

Great review :)
The crack panel is why you should use cigs cell panels...
Yeah well, live and learn 🤷♂️

Can you post the Amazon link? I’m not finding it for that price

Price is now $70. I thought solar prices are going down? LOL The Nekteck 28w solar panel is the same spec for $50.
Time has passed what do you like best these days?
The BX has both Ravpower 24 and Big blue 28 for a good price.
Any thoughts?

Would you say this is overkill for 1-2 person camping? What about space and weight in your pack? Love the value, worried about the size.

Thanks. Just revisited your review and have one on the way as we stare down hurricane Dorian.
Sold!!!!!
The one I have it has a mini digital screen on it. Does this also store energy or only it transfers to other devices?
Doesn't store power.
The model I bought is simply a charger, which is why I purchased an Anker battery bank to use alongside it.
Don't they come with an ammeter attached? Sorry,k wasn't able to watch or listen to the full video at the moment.
Didn't look like it. He used a USB reader for output reading.
There is another Big Blue 28W model with an ammeter and two USB outputs. Given the amount of current it can deliver, two is plenty.

No screen on my model, doesn’t have a battery bank included either
