It seems very strange to want to phase out the word ‘atomic’ from Godzilla’s fire. Godzilla’s a nuclear monster, he was born in the heart of the atomic age and has on-again off-again represented the horrors of the Bomb. I’ve always referred to it as either the ‘atomic ray’ or ‘atomic breath’ personally.

NECA is the better figure overall for me, it may be less accurate but it still captures the look of the suit and it simply has more color variety and a more detailed sculpt for around 25-30 bucks. The fact you have to touch up a $ 100 figure does not work for it.

I know this is a few years old, but has there been a reissue of 62' as of Jan 2022? I missed out on this guy and really dont want to spend $250 on the aftermarket. I know Bandi reissues almost all their Godzillas at some point. So far i'm just missing this guy and 95' to complete my overpriced collection of plastic lizards.
My favorite design too, I love this guy♥️. I think im gonna try and get this guy even though i already have the neca one. Ive wanted shma and neca to make one forever.
Personally, I believe that this figure is, overall, the better looking figure of the two recently released from S.H.MonsterArts and NECA. I believe that the S.H. MonsterArts figure looks much more accurate to the suit, and the eyes are quite interesting as well. The NECA counterpart lacks in overall width of his body. It's thinner at the waist area, which is inaccurate to the source. Almost every other figure I've seen depicting the 1962 design looks fatter than the NECA figure. Either way, the paint is less eye-catching than the NECA figure's. As someone who likes the 1962 design, I ordered both of them.
