In water test part, I found Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is not waterproof. It is only splashproof. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is IPX3 rated which is basic splashproof level.
My suggestion is : don’t try putting your Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 into water. And if your Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 got water damage, you should tear down the device and eliminate the moisture in it.

YES! Finally someone does a REAL waterproof test with phone disassembly to actually check if the water got in. It's tiresome to see all those other testers just submerging the device in water for few minutes, then check if the screen is working and claim it's waterproof. THIS is how the waterproof testing should be done. Thank you!

These tests are real, why someone saying it is fake? The Redmi Note 7 got water damage during the tests. As is shown in the video, the cameras are not working. This phone is not waterproof, I just wanna know how far it can go.

@@shivanshpandey8457 , I thought so too - but the camera bump is just too significant that it's hard to lay it down camera first without worrying that the camera will be scratched or damaged. I tried using it without a case for a few days and end up using a hard case that protects the camera as well because of this reason.
Thanks for the effort put into testing this. The rubber band on sim card tray usually indicates there's a protection against water intrusion but if the phone is not properly IP rated I guess it's best to stay out of the risk.
For next time, you should show if the charger works and if the headphone jack works as well, great video

anyway I really kove how you tested it's waterproof resistance through different types of water immersion. Plus disassembling to check internal water damage really technical and very informative too.

ok good test for waterproofing, but a test is missing for the audio to see if it is still intact! this test should be useful to someone if the phone slips into the water and wants to understand if the audio works normally or works badly
