Top tips there, leave the inner inside, measure the folds against the bag and most importantly start rolling with the poles and pegs inside to help push out the air. Thank you
Why did you push each pole through and walk around the tent each time? Just push all three through and walk around once? And as you pull the poles out, you may as well break them down. Could mean the difference between a dry tent becoming wet when showers are approaching. But a fun video, that I guess staff will enjoy! And a good sense of humour shown by you when it went wrong and there was laughing in the background.
All looks so simple on you tube but does not fold that small in real life. I have the 8 man kyham which is an awkward shaoe making it extremely difficult to fold and set up plus theres nothing on youtube about setting these tents up or putting away
On the leaving the inner tent attached to the outer.. I would always be concerned about the dampness from the outer tent affecting the inner tent whilst packed away. Your views?
I just bought a vengo centara 800 airbeam tent. Setting up is awesome and quick but for the life of me can not get the air to come out of the tent when rolling even with the doors unzipped etc. the doors are either side in the middle and so the air has no escape at the end!!! Please help!!!
Yes, he's good at presenting these videos because he doesn't put on airs and graces! Just gets on with it. Doeznt talk like an idiot. Laughs along with us. That's what RUclips needs more of. I bought an air tent. I folded it at 5am when I was feeling ill and gave up.. it sat in the back of my tiny campervan like a walrus, taking up half the space! Never again. I'm going for a simple Sendero 4 this time. I know what I'm in for, I know I can erect and dismantle it on my own, I know it will fit in the bag, and I won't have to arm wrestle a pop up tent. I'm not sure all this new fangled stuff is an improvement. Just like the good-old-fashioned normal guy doing normal presenting, not treating me like an idiot. It works for me. Job well done.
I love the honesty of these 'How To' videos with no mistakes edited out. In fact, they are a useful warning of what else could happen. Well done! :)
You don't need a peg pulling device, so long as you can get one of the pegs out, you can then use that one to hook and pull the rest out.
The face of British camping. Great tips, thanks.

Awesome tips. Many thanks for sharing. I got my family tent back in the bag on the first attempt.
Glad to hear it Graeme!
Thank you for being honest, at least we are warned what can happen. Thank You great Video. All the best.
The bit where you broke the tent made me laugh :-)
Ian, these are really helpful videos. Thanks!
I always remove my inner before packing away as they can trap damp and condensation, causing mildew .

I usually keep the inner tent in a different bag to the outer tent.
you should always dry the whole tent out after use so leaving it in is ok, dont pack them in separate bags thats just sad
Always dry separately.
Pack separately they fold up better

Simple tip for you you mad man lol if you do not have a peg puller use another peg to loosen the pegs from the ground lol
Lol you broke the tent! Easily fixed i suppose?
is there a video showing how to repack a lombok 250 tent
Paul Foxall all tents are pretty much the same. Just different sizes. 4 corners then middle pole then the rest then guee up the lines.
Thanks :)
