Best FF in my opinion. I was gripped by the game for years. I would play through it twice a year plus on every new PlayStation device. Then on mobile. Addicted.

Nobuo Uematsu is criminally underrated, honestly. For people who grew up with the golden age FFs, we all know him, but outside of that? It's rare I'll see him mentioned on Reddit when people are discussing the best music or artists in gaming. What a shame. This is incredible.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm super behind!!! Hmm, I don't know if I consider Uematsu underrated, but I've been obsessed with his FF compositions for a good 20+ years so......it's hard for me to NOT think of him as the center of the music world hahaha
i had the same feeling about this soundtrack and whole "melody of life" recurent theme in ff9 as when i exited Midgar on ff7 for the first time back in the OLD days...😅. musical ergasm that bring me back everytime🤣🤣😅, Uematsu is a musical genius...
I have a soft spot for this track as it brings back so many memories 🥹. I concur, being greeted by this track after all that is the comedic yet tragic intro of FFIX is an experience of a lifetime. That said, I'm speechless by your performance. 100/100 Nobles are impressed and you totally deserve that Moonstone!
This is perfection. I used to hum this tune to my darling mother... with my very imperfect voice... to try to soothe her worries. I hope it worked sometimes.... This is a beautiful orchestration of the song. I wish she could have heard it. Kupo.
Being able to sing the lyrics of Melodies of Life to the world map theme is... certainly a thing. "Though you're gone, I still believe that you can call out my name."
One of my all-time favorite themes from Final Fantasy, arranged and performed perfectly by one of my favorite artists. Thank you. And it works so brilliantly on harp! I think I'm ready to go hunt some frogs...

The mind is so powerful, I could hum every note you played even though I haven’t listened to this in 24 years. It made me sentimental for some reason also
I would often stop walking around, set my controller down and listen to this tune for 20 min and just get lost in my mind. My brother and I still play this game on and off and share some things we never noticed the 40th time around. I remember how beautiful and majestic the first time it was after moving on from FFVIII. The storyline, odd characters, beautiful sceneries, what a final fantasy game should be. And of course this gorgeous music that stands the test of time. Thanks you for a beautiful cover to a wonderful childhood game.

I'm falling for the music that filled my childhood with glee but also can't help but gaze at you in all your passion, any man would be crazy not to want to be your Canary.
I finally caved and bought FF7: Rebirth. I'm literally only a couple of hours in, but even with the silky graphics and vast open worlds, it still doesn't have what made the older games so good. FF 1-10 were the best, and even now, they're so hard to beat. The story, the music, but mostly, the way we all fondly reminisce over the hours we put into it. It's an association of a happy time in our lives, and the beautifully played harp just transports you right back there again. Thank you for doing what you do and for letting us escape back to that magical place again. ❤
@Grove2000 Honestly, I'm 40 hours in and still at chapter 7. The minigames have been so good, the music, and the fact that it took 15 hours just for the grasslands area alone... great value for money. I've been so pleasantly surprised and I can't wait for the moment that you described. Is it one winged angel? That piece of music is so epic!
@Pauly0705 yeah it took me about 80 hours to do just the story and the majority of side quests. I didn't really do any of the VR stuff or many of the mini-games. I don't want to give any spoilers, but it's sort of before one winged angel..... the final boss is in about 8 phases!
@Grove2000 I'm doing everything. I want to really get the most of the game on my first playthrough. The only thing that I think spoils it is the battle. I preferred the old turn based style of the old games, but some of the synergy abilities, summons spells, etc, look amazing! Thank you for not spoiling it, I'm really enjoying it, and I'm sure I'll see what you mean before too long.
I haven't played Rebirth yet so I can't comment on that, but I will admit I missed the world map in FF10. Nothing compares to just stumbling upon a secret little cave in the corner of the world. Thank you for listening 💖

This is one of my favorite pieces. I’ll put the OST version on a loop when I just need to relax for a while. This version, seeing the arrangement come together in real time, was absolutely sublime. I have chills.
Have heard some decent covers by various instruments before, but the harp (and your ability to play it) BY FAR blows them out of the water. Absolutely beautiful playing not only on this one, but the rest of your FF covers as well. 🙌

In Japan hes pretty famous. I went to a concert in Tokyo. He even had a band called Black Mages.

I mostly agree- but come back when you've heard the music for rhe final boss. It's the best video game music I think I've ever heard.

Like others have stated, this is by far the best overworld theme in any FF game. Easily one of my favorite songs in FFIX

When that 2nd harp came in on the main part of the outworld theme, I immediately got chills and tears started welling up in my eyes. This arrangement is so unbelievably beautiful, thank you for putting your heart and soul into this amazing piece and letting me re-live my younger years vicarously through your strings!
