- When I read books, I like to imagine voices for all of the characters I read. it makes the reading more enjoyable for me.
... But when I say all of the characters, I mean ALL of them, if not almost all of them.
I've seen a lot of voice cast videos for WoF characters on RUclips and I figured I'd make one myself. However, I went a little overboard and came up with 50-some voices that more or less fit my HCs. I haven't read A3 or any of the other books, so I'll probably do a video for those when I read them.
I spent weeks doing the research and two days putting the audio clips and video together, so I hope you like it!
Tell me which voices you thought fit the most, or that you enjoyed the most!
Characters appear in chronological order from when they're encountered in the books, approximately. There are some exceptions.

"Why is XYZ character not included?"
I gave voices to characters who I think or remember being either integral to the story or having enough page time to be memorable enough for a voice. So sorry Lagoon/Squid/Viper/Ochre/Sora/The list goes on, you either didn't show up enough or I just got too lazy.
And yes, I know I forgot Hailstorm. Just pretend he's, uh... Matt Mercer or something.
"Why are the RainWings Australian?"
I follow the canon that RainWings have near-Australian accents, so I did my best to stay true to it. Even I have one! I also wanted to follow the canon that IceWings have really high-pitched voices, but I felt that would have been too difficult.
I would have included more RainWings, but finding the voices for the ones already here (except for Glory, since she doesn't have an accent) took ages on its own.
Chameleon doesn't have a very strong Australian accent because I imagined spending enough time with other tribes would cause his accent to become more varied than a regular RainWing.
All images of characters are taken from the Wings of Fire Wiki, except for Cobra.

I can't find the sources I used for Shark and Peril, but they're simply taken from cutscenes in Horizon: Zero Dawn and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne respectively. Vulture and Cobra are also simply taken from the Ace Attorney English dub.

I think the perfect voice for Scarlet would be still Ziras voice from Lion king, I stuck with that voice with her so hard, because of their similar personalities. It would fit perfectly.
7:13- I can imagine Coral having Anemone audition for this play except it would be about The Scorching.

Jambu's voice is perfect because most rainwings have Australian accent
I personally see Tsunami's voice as deeper and stronger, like a badazz hero, and Glory's as slightly deep but this version is still really good, just very sarcastic sounding all the time.

This is amazing. I personally know how much time and commitment it takes to animate videos like this, and how frustrating it is sometimes, from the transitions, graphics, colors, downloading the recordings of the voices, to the pictures and wordings. People tend to not realize the effort put in to making even the simplest and shortest videos, but if your not a machine, then it definetly takes motivation to work through the whole video. One may think this is an exaggeration for just a video, but I just wanted to put it out there, because Sunlight the Rainwing, you deserve way more subs, and you've earned mine!
This deserves more than it got. I mean this most have taken a while to do, because this is amazing!

In my opinion almost all the voices are perfect, but here is what I would change:
-I think of Kinkajou with a higher voice
-I think of Turtle with Sam Lavagnino's voice but maybe slightly lower
For me, I think Webs would have more of a higher voice
yeah, I think that too. His voice sounds more like an Nightwing.

I don’t exaaaactly agree with Shark’s voice actor being the same as Rost’s from HZD. I guess I just can’t see it because to me they are nothing alike at all. But the voice is fine.
I think B-mo from Adventure Time fits sunny pretty well, and maybe Mother gothel from Tangled for Scarlet
I actually think chris pratt oukd be great for clay and donna murphy would be great for scarlet

It is an good choice. Btw, they are much actors from normal shows and btw the actors are voicing different characters.

I think both are a bit to deep, she is the smallest and the youngest, so she should get a higher voice.
i can actually agree w clay, and here i was thinking that id hate it. Taylor swift though is a little too gentle for me for tsunami, same with Linda Cardellini, too soft gentle. Tom Holland is a little too preppy for me, though id be able to be cool with it. Honestly for me, i always imagine the wof voice actors as being a little gruffier. but Sunny's va HANDS on perfect. so with Kestrel, though the accent is a little distracting, she sounds a little too old, where i imagine kestrel being in her late 30s. love Scarlet's voice actor, definitely has the menace but also the "ill hug you,-to death" sweetness, same with Peril's perfect. for anemone, for the first arc perfect voice actor but i feel like shes in her late teens in the second arc. Kinkajou's voice for me, a little too british. Honestly, Sunlight, where can you submit youre resume for netflix so we dont have a horrible voiceacting cast?
