i never comment or like videos on youtube. and high key thought all these comments were bulls**t but holy thank jesus mother mary and god because you saved my life!!!! my ipad is old as hell and so much of my info (pictures specifically) i thought i would lose! IT WORKED. IT ACTUALLY DID! i might clean it once more tomorrow but literally was crying all night thinking i lost everything. saved me from replacing it, going to see apple support or geek squad and saved my tear ducts. im so thankful i found this video!!!! anyone reading comments, this is the real deal. so easy… maybe not so quick depending on how dirty the port and charger is… but oh my god it worked! thank you thank you thank yooooouuuuu!!!!!
Thanks for the tutorial mate, I struggled with charging my iPad and I woke up yesterday because of the fact that it kept disconnecting in a short period of time. Now it’s fixed!
@@c.ovenant I know I’m late but there’s most likely still dust. It took me several cleans before everything was snug in the port and charging. If you haven’t bought a new one yet take it to the Apple Store and they’ll clean it very well for you

Thank you ❤ It’s taking a while, but I really do think this is working. Every time I check, it’s a lot easier to charge! I think I’m only gonna have to clean lightly one more time and it’s gonna be fixed ❤ I really thought it was broken and I was gonna have to buy another iPad. This is the only video I can really say works! Thank you!
Thanks so much! It worked so well! I’ve been struggling with the port for so long now. You really deserve more views! Thanks, I’m a big fan, and I was your 123 like! Oh and also my the time I was born happend to be 1:23 pm! Lol! Thanks, cya
Thank you. I was having to press anew cable to charge my IPad Air 3. The toothpick eliminated the problem. Now it again charges without pressure. The cable has not had time to get bad as it is new, but I bet the older one can be fixed, too.
Hey thanks mate. Just bought myself a 2nd hand Bose sound and tried my old 30 pin iPod classic that hasn't worked or charged for years. Even to took the dock apart. Still nothing. Saw your vid, thinking if this doesn't work the full lot's getting binned. Hay presto got all my old tunes back with a nice sounds. Thanks again mate👍
I got some salt and pepper in my iPad Pro 2018 charging place on the iPad I tried using a sewing needle but I still can’t charge it in the end? What should I do?
Wow! After talking to service people at Apple and another at Geek Squad, who stressed either just buy a new one or have it serviced, I used a .045" bass guitar string to clean my port. I got the battery logo now. It was totally unresponsive before. Update soon...
careful with that bass string, the metal may scratch too much. I used a toothpick cause the wood wont easily damage the metal contacts inside the port.
I use a magnetic charger (the one that glows) and doesn't work, is there any way you can make a version of this except for people who use a magnetic charger like me?
You’ve probably fixed it or gotten rid of it by now a month later LoL but just in case you’ve had no luck, try alcohol pads, like little square ones you can get in the pharmacy for cheap, use to wipe screen protector, greasy cases, and especially for the magnets, wipe smoothly once or twice both pieces where they connect, and also check the USB end of charger where it goes into wall use his tricks with the toothpick in the usb part where you put it in the box and also the box part and then plug it all in and see if that helps, worked on our school magnetic charger
If your charger like goes vmmm vmmm vmmm and doesn't charge consistently... before you get a new charger clean out your charge port. I twist up 1 ply of a tissue and clean it out usually. And... yeah clean your charger too just kinda like lick the tissue and kinda like scrub the little charger thing.
Oh My Goodness!!! Thanks for posting the eraser-cleaner-info. It really works!!! I mentally ready to spend BIG BUCKS to repair or to replace. The problem is my wallet wasn’t mentally prepared (lol)... Again Thanks👍
do not use a pencil tip to clean, use a toothpick. its sturdy enough to get deposits out, but soft enough not to damage the metal contacts. Only use the ERASER of the pencil, (or any other eraser) to clean the cable contacts, not the inside of the ipad/iphone
My iPad died it’s a iPad 7 and I charged it but whenever I took it off it kept doing the same thing it kept doing the charging sign that it was turning on but then it turned off and every time I press the home button it does it even more!what do I do
I would contact Apple support for that as it should still be under warranty, if not, you may need to check out iPad troubleshooting videos, this isn't really that kind of channel. sorry :(
turn it off. use isopropanol, better job, less risk of injure any components and it does vaporise so nothing left behind.. problem solved faster and better
Simply put, if you follow what i show in the video, you wouldn’t damage the device. Also, you wouldn’t do this fix unless something was already wrong with your device to begin with. It works, read the other comments of ppl who tried it. If YOU don’t want to try it, that’s totally up to you. It’s YOUR device.

I tried using a sewing needle but I still can’t charge it in the end? What should I do?
You could try using a pipe cleaner, the bristles might dislodge the grains
Try holding a vacuum to it and maybe try duster too. You can use an anti-static brush or an unused brand new toothbrush
Gonna try this tomorrow thanks so much!
Did it wok
will try and let you know if it works
2 weeks later and we still don’t know if it works
one month later we still do not know
2 months later and still don't know
one year later and we still don’t know

Plastic flossers work great
Awesome tip!
In my case, a prong from a broken charging cable was still in jammed in the port. I dug it out with a tiny screwdriver and now we are up and running.
thanks! that makes me feel good inside. 😁

thanks sir great help me
my iPad Pro 12.9
Can floss picks work?
havent tried it, possibly as long as they are not too hard plastic
thank you!
hey @spacedoutbabyy, thanks for your kind words!
The reason for the tissue is that sometimes if you have your phone around while you're eating and
Spill stuff on your phone it can get sticky.
Oh My Goodness!!! Thanks for posting the eraser-cleaner-info. It really works!!! I mentally ready to spend BIG BUCKS to repair or to replace. The problem is my wallet wasn’t mentally prepared (lol)... Again Thanks👍
I’ve got dirt in the cylinder I mean the place where you like put the charger in
I hope this well help because my iPad well only charge to 1 percent and when I looked in the charge port there’s a lot of brown and a little black
Ya, get that Gunk out of there and you should be great!
Did it work same thing is happening to me
I am going to use this for my big sisters ipad
THANK YOU
thank you
OMG IT WORKED 😯
YES!!
Can you blow the dust out gently?
I don’t know if it’s the dust and other dirty things in my charging port but my battery drains quickly

Bro full blown fixed my ipad
winning! So glad it helped!
I had the tip of my lightning cord break off inside charging port how can I fix it or get it out so I can use it
that may need a technicians hired to remove it. that way they are insured against damage
Thanks
Omg thanks
saved me.. I thought i was gonna buy another damn ipad
thanks! that makes me feel good inside. 😁
Hope this works for type c I have the iPad pro m1 edition
I can't confirm that as I haven't tried it on USB C
@@DarkRoastRecording I used tooth pick and it helped on my type c
Would the lead from a mechanical pencil work in absence of a wooden toothpick?
No, it would deposit graphite on the contacts and make the problem worse.
do not use a pencil tip to clean, use a toothpick. its sturdy enough to get deposits out, but soft enough not to damage the metal contacts.
Only use the ERASER of the pencil, (or any other eraser) to clean the cable contacts, not the inside of the ipad/iphone
U best
What if the residue from IPad cable is stuck in it? What should I do?
You could try using rubbing alcohol on a qtip, but don’t use too much, just enough that it dries fast
Sir my charger pin have something black type there it is not going by this
On metal pins
You may need to use a more abrasive eraser, just be careful not to rub too hard. Or just buy another lightning cable and call it a day
Need to brush on your English cause not sure what u ,ean😂

oh i say you have to stretch the cord and. put it on the tip of a computer or watch this vid to help

Its a Zagg Rugged Book Folio case. Awesomeness
What if we dont have toothpick?
I would say visit your local vietnamese or chinese restaurant and ask for one.

Who is Jordan Belfort? Lol
turn it off. use isopropanol, better job, less risk of injure any components and it does vaporise so nothing left behind.. problem solved faster and better
Do you mean isopropyl alcohol-like on a wipe?
Be sure to turn the iPad up so that any debris will be pulled out by gravity.
My iPad charge slowly in hours and I can’t find toothpicks all gone😢😢 WHAT DO I DOOOOOO.!
grab some from your local restaurant :)
Does not work all it’s says is to plug in lightning cord even though it in,cord works fine for iphones
Gotta clean and get superglue out of mine. Pray for me
Yikes! That will be a challenge. May the force be with you
why do you have super glue in urs wtf
You might need to replace the port

rust is completely different, that will need to be done by a service center

sorry mate, it's not a guarantee fix, but something to try before sending it in for an expensive repair.
