Leaving Yellowstone | Tower Falls | Beartooth Highway | Pompey's Pillar | Badlands National Park

Time was up and we had to get home. We made one last stop at Tower Falls on our way out. The Sun came up to cast warm vibrant colors as the thick fog parted. Taking the Beartooth Highway out was well worth the extra time and we didn't feel like we missed out on Cody, WY. A quick stop at Pompey's Pillar made up for our planned visit last year on the way to Glacier that never happened. Our final stop was at the Badlands. While it had only been a year since we had been here, two of the kids had never seen them. We pulled into our campsite at sundown and set up, knowing we would wake up to something special. We had been to this spot the year before but we were forced to leave for a powerful storm. In the morning we made our way homeward through those jagged wicked hills and on the the endless plains. Years of planning and dreaming went into this trip and it had come to a close but we took home an experience that will last far longer.

Oh, I know that feeling! Its always so hard to leave, but it's that goodbye that brings you back time and time again 😊 It's nice you all did Beartooth Highway. It is such a magnificent drive! I enjoyed watching your trip.

Thank you. The Beartooth Mountains was breath-taking! The irony is that we passed through every entry except the most direct one, the east!
