While researching, I discovered that it is actually a tribute to Brazil: The independent New York production duo has been on the road since 2014, and consists of Sedona Schat (vocals, guitar) and Noah Yoo (bass, sampler). The name, a word so common in Brazil, is highly revered by the duo: "The coolest thing about it is that it's such an emotionally intelligent culture that they have a word for this gesture [running your fingers through a loved one's hair]," said the vocalist in an interview.
