A lot of reviews probably see it as redundant to review the same toy twice. Next week for the first time ever I'm going to get a test shot and I'm very excited.
well i prefer seeing reviews of the actual release cause i want to know what exactly im getting when i buy, there are slight differences and changes usually in the final reviews and i want to see the package as well so i know if there is seomthing wrong or none if get mine :) hope you still do the actual release or do a comparison video of the test shot you will be getting and the actual release. already subscribed !

That's the problem. The ones I want, are more money than I really wanna spend since I'm not a die hard fan. Haven't watched any Transformers since I was a kid (the new movies don't count). I don't even really remember much about it. I just need to get an OP and that's probably it. One day.
Finally got mine from TCP at the Vegas Toycon this weekend along with the cartoon Dino head. Very satisfying purchase. The replacement clips for Soar have the issue where they're too tight to go in on one end and have to be widened. I'll save that job for the weekend. Wanted to pull up your video because I wasn't sure I had the robot legs right with the back end not closing up flush. Looks like it was supposed to be that way. I don't know if you reviewed Fans Hobby Power Baser but I got the black version and it's great. Highly recommended.
The only figure in that lineup that belongs to me is Grimlock. I would have never bought the red Swoop. A friend loaned all of his figures to me to review with option to buy. I didn't buy them.

If reximus is a full-on masterpiece Grimlock clone, he can't hold a candle to this figure. I used to own Masterpiece Grimlock in the articulation was not touching this grinder. The overall feel was better as well

Sometimes you can't really get that from watching a video, the plastics, the ratchets and the weight. I just like that reximus because I really like the way he scales against mp10 and the overall bold gold, silver look. Like those dinobots to be big massive chunky Bots. Excellent reviews, sir.. The dino head is what turned me off. For me cartoon aesthetic is key, and Grimlock's looks was iconic. This guy is no doubt an excellent figure, but it just misses the mark where it kinda meant the most. I probably reckon the reasoning is to avoid having Takara's lawyers show up. To date they've not done a single figure that Takara's done, so had to adjust their Grimlock to avoid trouble. I think there's a certain percentage you have to change to avoid being sued for copyright infringement..
I guess. I was kinda thinking that Fanstoys don't want to step on Takara's toes too much, being fans as well, after all.. Meh.. 3rd party ethics are murky at best, I suppose..
Yes, all of the Iron Dibots have been done in a limited edition X version. Where the grey plastic is replaced with silver. Not for everyone I understand, but I like that and I'm just waiting for Grinder to get his X treatment and then my Iron Dibots collection will be complete.

Yeah, I have all of the previous 4 in that variant. It's cool that you're new to 3rd party, to be honest I am too still. I did do reviews of all of the X versions so far and will do the same with Grinder.

I just got the replacement head and I must say it's a vast improvement. The sculpt is much closer to the Masterpiece/Cartoon Grimlock.
