Despite going the Gigapower route, one of the things I prefer about the Fanstoys set is the optional wings on Swoop. I went for metallic/matte blue Gaudenter (Swoop) as the chrome wings were just too much; however, the flat bronze beak looks quite plain. It would be nice to be able to mix and match a bit for aesthetic. The same is true of the bronze on Superator's (Grimlock's) chest; it just looks flat. Overall, I prefer the features, design, etc. of the GP set, but there are some things I prefer about the Dibots. Both companies make for excellent options, good enough that I am convinced there is no objectively better option between getting a full set from either company.
I agree. Gigapower, in my opinion, match the MP line better. I love the size and like you said, the presence they have on the shelf make them really stand out.
Ultra Jazz Only thing I see is a little faulty on giga power versions are the hands. They’re big and feel good but on all my five giga powers pins have dropped out of the fingers unaware. ⚠️
I just got the re-issue of this figure, and it looks and feels very nice. My figure do not have that ankle problem; the ankles are not super stiff but stiff enough that it can stand pretty much in any position, as long as the feet have been aligned properly. So I do not have any problems with it. I had a problem with the golden thigh panels because they attach so tightly that it is impossible to open them with just your fingers or even with a spudger, but when I looked at the instructions once more I finally got it. You are supposed to turn the back piece of the thigh which pushes against the front piece which in turn pushes the panel and snaps it open. I was wondering why the instructions specifically mentioned that that part is durable and urged to transform like the picture showed, but since you mentioned that the panels were originally made of plastic it now makes sense. They would easily snap in half with the official transforming method. By the way, you can totally get Soar to stand in its dino mode - you just need to make lean a little forward.
I love Fanstoys Dinobots' toon accuracy.. this guy is being reissued here so I'm grabbing the opportunity to catch up on my collection.. prices are still high, but at least they're not skyrocketing like before. Problem is I am getting the Fanstoys for toon accuracy and also getting the Gigapower reissues for G1 toy accuracy so my wallet is really crying LOL.
Love the aesthetic of FTs but all of mine seem to have a problem or 2. I have the ankle issue and the front gold horizontal panels above the feet wont stick into the pegs.
Giga has the arms collapse into the body. Yea I know, I do like Fanstoy but in this case I would go with Gigapower. Great review as you do point out both sides of this figure. I have an extra Fanstoy Koot I am going to put on EBay if your interested or anybody interested. Sorry for the plug.
I have Soar. Dont care too much for the feet, and I have a QC issue where one of the tabs on the pteradactyl head that go into the bot mode head doesn't tab. And the original facesculpt looks like Jackie off of the 90s sitcom,Roseanne. But I like him despite my bitching,ha ha. Good vid.
@@TMReviews it isnt the worst I have seen though. Kinda want to get some older FT figures, but I really dont want to pay outrageous prices for such. I just scratched the paint on my Sheridan. Meh. I have Hunk and Magnum on preorder, hope they arrive soon.

Best head sculp hands down for this figure. However Gigapower’s presence and feel is superior- imho.

Tremendous Figure to this day! It's the quintessential Swoop IMO . Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching
That back drop is slamin. It hides the flight stand well. Nice sparkly, shiny figure. Good to see your still doing your thing Tm!
Thanks buddy

Ya his feet are a problem, I didn't have the issue on the head, agreed his original facesculpt is wack

Just messing round with mine and the pterosaur legs extend so he can stand in that mod 🙃
Not sure what you mean, extend in which direction?
Genial
Fanstoys or Gigapower swoop?
? It's in the title...
TMReviews maybe he meant "which one do you prefer"🤷🏻♂️
Ohhh lol, fans toys all the way
TMReviews Gigapower is better, hands down.
I actually have no idea, never handled the giga
