Lose the damn AI. The same big words and butchering names even the most minor hockey fan would know. There were no controversies about masks, back then it was a personal decision. Fun fact. St.Louis wasn't in the NHL when the Leafs won their last Cup
Why he retired? Had an eye opening about his reflexes in his first game of the season 2 months away from his 46th birthday is my guess. Nothing to do with conflicts, it's age related.
Sounds like this video was created by AI. Poor guy this AI for he knows not of what he speaks. It's Rocket Richard as in the French surname, not "Richard" as in Richard Gere. But the most hilarious mistake of all is Leafs facing off in the semi-final against a team that wasn't even in the league in 1967, as in the St. Louis Blues....Lol
Nice video tribute! 2mistakes though. Bob Pulford scored the game 3 winner, not Jim Pappin. Leafs beat Chicago in the semi final, not St. Louis. The blues did not exist in 66/67. They came into the league in 67/68.
This site is a bunch of BS! I was lucky enough to have JB and his wife Nancy as friends. I started following the Leaf's in the 61-62 season. Yes , St Louis was not in the NHL when the the Leaf's last won the cup. As i recall , he only won one Vezina and he shared that with Sawchuk. He did win 4 Stanley Cups with the Leaf's though. Unless something has changed, he still holds the record for most wins in the AHL. Oh, and lastly, he got the China Wall from a sports writer in Cleveland. Hockey Icons screwed up the Keon episode too. Pure junk!

He also according to AI won the Veezena trophy. omg
he was the greatest maple leaf goalie of all time
Johnny Bower opened the 1968-69 season without a mask but took to wearing the one he wore in practice as the season went on.
Mispronounced names, the Blue didn't exist in the 1967 Stanley Cup playoffs.
The lLeafs beat Cicago and Montreal
Totally amazing goaltender❤
This is so inaccurate
Johnny Bower,great goalie,great person!

The Leafs did not face the Blues in the semi finals .
They defeated the Hawks 4 games to 2
pretty hard to beat a team that didn't exist yet. in 1967 the nhl was still a 6 team league. they expanded after the 1967 season.
AI can’t even pronounce the Rocket. The only thing I like is the pictures.
This is a sad misrepresentation.
This is a messed up story. Facts are all over the place . wrong years, teams, and names.

So many mistakes in this video. The only truth is Bower was an incredible goalie and one of the greatest Leafs of all time.
Tell me. Is the thing that led to Johnny's departure from the Maple Leafs in the room with us now?
St. Ĺouis came into the ĺeague the next year
Dam AI is so awful. Rocket Richard is now just Richard as in English.
MableLeafs, you are kidding!
Who the hell put this together with all the wrong facts
