hello random new zombie youtuber, you just popped up in my recommended feed, but sure, I’ll give you and hour and a half to hear you talk about mob and blood
I do think that Blood does ruin some concepts that Mob had prior. The biggest thing being Brutus. What was interesting was that mob crew looked human, Brutus looked like a monster, but it was the other way around, mob crew were the monsters because of their crimes, Brutus in reality was an innocent father and husband that was wasted doing his job. Making Brutus the warden ruins that. I also like the idea that Mob breaks convention. In most stories, time and time again a crew in a zombie outbreak has their odds against them, told they won’t survive. But they end up doing so having to group together and survive, this tale is opposite, to win is to lose, to seperate and end each other. You’re playing as characters that are already too late to fix anything, what is told is right this time. The crew despite that reflected on ego they were in life in different emotion. Sal had pride overall but regretted taking the life of an innocent girl due to his fear of his crew falling, Billy’s overall regrets and admittance of how he is wrong and could’ve been better had his mom not pass and his father was a better dad and so on. It’s like we are nearing the end with these people we just met, and I like that. It’s sad and it’s sucks because we have sympathy for the devil but Mob was bold to say “some can’t make it back as they fall too deep.” The happiest ending they get is that they’re allowed to die. Blood ruins that imo.
Stanley Fergison isn't Brutus, otherwise, great video! Edit: I should have watched further. Also, the cycle breaks because of Al killing the other 3. In the normal mob cycle, it's cannon that the 3 kill weasel for the Rev ending, but when Al breaks the cycle on mob, it's the whole cycle. And Al winning gives us the Tag ending Also, I know you said that the map mob isn't that creepy, but that's only at surface level. The deeper you look, the scarier it gets. Ever notice how many body bags are hanging in groups? They're almost exclusively found in groups of 4, theorized to hold the bodies of the previous cycle
Okay, thank you. That’s what my one buddy who’s used to be a big zombies lore guy said is the accepted answer for what breaks the cycle but I wasn’t 100% sure on it since he gets a lot of stuff like that wrong from time to time. And your original comment had me looking into Brutus and apparently there’s a some people who say that he was never Brutus even in Mob since he’s alive during the audio recordings, but I always assumed he just died of natural causes or something and then got sent to the purgatory due to his connection to the mobsters. But some of the cut Brutus voice lines that I played in the video are I think pretty rock solid proof that Ferguson was at least supposed to originally be Brutus, even if he wasn’t by the time the map dropped.
@Tactic_Zombies I agree. I always found those lines odd. I really love your style of video man. Keep up the amazing work! I made one more edit to my comment haha it's a long video to watch at work 😅

I used to play Blood of the Dead for hours upon hours. played 2 player with my friend online and we would fight zombies in shifts all night while the other got some sleep. good times fr
I believe the cycle breaks this time due to primis Richthofen being in his cryopod. Under normal circumstances post war richtofen isn’t there, this causes them to be thrown there in the wrong soot as Great War richtofen being there makes the kronorium rewrite itself, breaking the cycle.
I personally love both of these maps, I remember mob coming out as I remember watching the blood reveal in the bo4 livestream from Treyarch at the time. In my opinion as much as I do love the story and gameplay of mob of the dead through the aether where they made the cycle end, I have to stick with Blood as in story detail of how the cycle being broken from mob had effects of the kronorium. If I could take both as a best I would, personal opinion as in story line purposes, would have to be blood ❤
That’s fair, I still think blood has a very solid story but I’ve personally always appreciated the simplicity of Mob’s story. And yeah, that BO4 reveal livestream was crazy, probably the peak moment for zombies as a community.
@@Tactic_Zombies oh yeah 100% for sure. Mobs story is for sure goated as well. I was always hyped as hell whenever I heard “4 lost souls trapped in purgatory” I immediately think of Mob of the dead without a doubt
If I remember correctly i think it was implied that Weasel breaking the cycle in mob also broke the greater Aether one. Then again I think I remember hearing in Tag that Pablo had something to do with it but it's been a long time so I don't remember
Great video lad, I haven't really interacted with CoD in years let alone zombies but I still love zombies despite that, have a lot of fond memories with it, especially Mod of the Dead, I always found it to be one of my favourites, really love the vide and style. Honestly it might be my favourite, only maps I enjoyed just as much, though probably for different reasons are Kino der Toten and Buried. Really enjoyed the video and learning about blood of the dead since I honestly didn't know that existed.
Does anyone know why we all always throw the retriever on the plane? Like its something we all do every time, but why do we do it? Is there like a history behind that?
Honestly no idea, but I’m willing to bet money that there was some kind of rumor back in the day that it was part of an Easter egg. Like some “get the Ray gun everytime” type Easter egg, you know what I mean?
47:00 Primis is sent to the wrong spot because Blood of the Dead takes place shortly after Weasel breaks his cycle. Weasel breaking his cycle broke it for everyone else as well.
Worse weapons, worse wonder weapons, less traps, worse layout, worse high rounds, worse shield, worse perk system, worse difficulty, worse visuals, worse main quest, no dogs, less melee weapons, no talismans, no elixirs, no BO4 QoL additions, no co-op pause, worse sound design, less cutscenes, worse story, no health cap, only has four perks, worse atmosphere, no special weapons, worse equipment, no free monkey bombs, annoying PaP quest, PaP is outside of the main map, can't upgrade shield, no magmagat, worse graphics, worse sound design, afterlife is a bad mechanic, Brutus is too weak, no solo main quest, worse soundtrack, no boss fight. The fact that people hate BotD because of it's perk system and main quest is absurd, as Mob of the Dead only has four perks and has one of the worse main quests that you can't even do solo. Every aspect about BotD is superior. The speed, difficulty, aesthetics, story, quests, complexity, weapons, and everything is simply better. People make up silly reasons like "well in BO4 there's only one grenade slot" as if classic frag grenades were useful and not a waste of a keybind. They'll say "Well the Hell's Retriever is bad and wraith fires are better lol" when Wraith Fires have a massively longer cooldown and the Hell's Retriever isn't very strong on either map. They'll say the Acid Gat is bad, ignoring the fact that the magmagat exists and there's a health cap, which means the Blundergat variants will be viable on every round. Afterlife is a very bad mechanic as you can't revive people with it, it caused Quick Revive to be absent, and counters the fact that BO4 early rounds are too easy. I guarantee you almost all BotD haters have barely played the map and can't even tell me the locations of the Blundergat skulls. Somehow, the bird step is the main thing they complain about, saying "There's 42 bird locations lol" as if you need to memorize them. You can hear the bird when you look through the shield. You just have to run around for a short time each round occasionally listen through the shield. It's extremely easy and only requires one shield charge per round. The first bird is in cells and the fourth is in Warden's/Citadel/Docks.
@@themelancholiaand yet mob still was 100x better, bo4 was kiddie version of zombies no players i know played bo4 for longer then a week 😂. We all played mob for yrs though funny
You know I love mob cuz of the story and how it all started. Stanley Ferguson gets killed gets turned into the undead afyer they kill him alcatraz turns into hell, u have to build or first find the plane parts then build them onto the plane aftr u done that after 3 times i think can.t remember u fly into the golden gate bridge one last time and there is you against 3 mobsters and u have to kill them before they kill u. Thats why i love mob. Blood of the dead tho yea not my fav
For me its kinda strange because the brazilian community love blood of the dead (i love this map too) and to be honest mob and blood are my favorite maps of all time, maybe because i love the story of both maps and blood ee its the best and hardest, the only issue i see in blood its the fact that the golden gate didn't make it as a boss fight arena and the pap its annoying to find
Yeah, the ads on RUclips have gotten outrageous as of late, especially when watching on a TV. Last night I had a video give me 3 1/2 ads before I was allowed to skip.
For gameplay, the zombies in BO3 is a HUGE downgrade because the movement like no bunny hopping and the speed the zombies swing as well as the way the guns feel when you shoot zombies is just a huge turn off and the custom maps don’t outweigh the negatives of what I just mentioned, and don’t even get me started on the mud in Origins for BO3. In addition although PC BO3 has workshop mods, console BO2 has theater mods which PC doesn’t have and are more fun in my opinion.
@@blueskuII58 I definitely agree with the guns feeling weak in BO3. A lot of them don’t sound anywhere near as punchy and strong as the guns from BO1 and BO2. And thank you for mentioning the fast swing speed, my friends act like I’m crazy whenever I mention how fast it is in BO3
As much as I do agree with the weapons feeling weak in Black ops 3 I'm more puzzled over the fact that you think the movement in Black ops 3 feels a bit weird. Black ops 2 and 1 are great modes but in comparison of them the movement feels sluggish and a bit awkward especially when you knife is zombies and through the barrier. When sometimes his don't even register in the zombies can still hit and kill you. You can also slide past zombies with alpha not hitting you and it's more easier to jump over zombies. The zombies were a bit strong and a whole lot aggressive at first launch when when they hit you if they were able to grab you and restrict you for moving but treyarch patch that a long time ago during DE'slunch I'm even more puzzled over how custom workshops don't outweight the negatives when a your last complaint about the Black ops 3 weapons you can mod any map for it to be Black ops 2 weapons, Black ops 1 weapons, Even the modern cod weapons with the amount of optimization you can do you can even change the game. We seen it in maps like nightmare and there's even more projects that's going to be inspired by fallout, there's even a LEGO map that looks completely different from what you see, there's even world at war inspired maps that restrict both the movement in the health system like BO1 and world at war And compare it to even weapons versus BO4 and BO4 even though the base weapons are a bit weaker you literally have a specialist wonder weapon that you could pop out anytime you get cornered by a zombie. Again I do agree that the weapon sound weak and Black ops 3 I think that's one of a weakest sounding games compared to infinite warfare and even the new records but for the gameplay I completely disagree. Especially for what BO4 try to do.
The difference between mob of the dead cycle an blood of the dead cycle. In mob of the dead the only one that breaks free from the cycle is al. An in blood of the dead you free all the spirits an it answers a question I've been wondering if the 3 mobster beat al to dead on the roof how was he able to be electricuted with the others?
I played the OG map when it came out and it’s still legendary. I wish Blood had the Afterlife system and The Golden Gate Bridge but Blood takes it for me. Love the new areas and how you build up to getting to the prison. Also packed with Awesome side eggs. Other than the hells redeemer egg that one sucks lmao
Yeah, this video was a ton of fun to make, especially since I haven’t really played Blood since it first launched so it was almost like learning a whole new map again. I definitely think that had BO4 not launched as broken as it did then the general opinion of Blood would be much more positive
I agree, definitely not my favorite zombies game but now that the game’s dlc season is over and most of the bugs have been patched out it’s a really fun time
I’m sorry but the mob characters are better than primis in mob they fit better and help the atmosphere whereas I don’t really think the primis fit better only one that made the atmosphere was Richthofen because we never see him panicking
Ok, good video but literally nobody has ever argued "Mob of the Dead or Blood of the Dead" because Mob is just infinitely better, and its in an outright better zombies game. Blood would probably be better if it was in Bo3 or Cold War but bo4 is just... The worst zombies that Treyarch has made. But even it it was it still wouldn't hold a candle to Mob. If it wasn't using the MotD identity people wouldn't like it nearly as much.
I agree that Mob is better, but you’d be surprised at how diehard of a following Blood has, especially over on the zombies subreddit. And I totally agree that Blood would be way better in BO3 especially. I think it would’ve worked great as a hypothetical DLC 6 of BO3 because not only would it have been in a better game but it would’ve been a great way to get people hyped for BO4 now that the cycle was broken.
@@Tactic_Zombies it definitely would've been better off... But I still probably wouldn't like it, at the very least from a lore perspective. I really don't like bo4's story and one of my least favorite parts is how Richtofen is treated. It just feels really disrespectful to the character and unnecessarily cruel. And I find the way that the other 3 just go along with it without so much as a farewell... It just feels like it's bordering on character assassination, especially since Richtofen sacrificed himself. I know that the group aren't like, super besties or anything but it just feels bad and wrong.
47:20. This may be my head canon, but i rationalized it as its when weasel broke the cycle, they didnt go to the same alcatraz as the cycle broke. Edit: I've never played bo4 but I watched the cutscenes

And Al winning gives us the Tag ending
Also, I know you said that the map mob isn't that creepy, but that's only at surface level.
I made one more edit to my comment haha it's a long video to watch at work 😅
Great video! And can't wait for that naruto retrospective video!
havent even gotten through the whole video yet but i love this bro! i like how its formatted, ur voice is chill and clear (unlike a lot of obnoxious cod zombies youtubers imo lol), and idk its just a sick topic!! definitely gonna watch more of ur stuff later xD
Thank you, I appreciate it!
I used to play Blood of the Dead for hours upon hours. played 2 player with my friend online and we would fight zombies in shifts all night while the other got some sleep. good times fr
Return of the King 🙏👑
No joke I thought you were Tim Hansen for a second lol, you sound like him when he isn't yelling.
Yo the outro took me back to the og vanoss days 😂
Golden sporknife quest might be extreme but the 1hit on everything forever is pretty savage
Really enjoyed the video and learning about blood of the dead since I honestly didn't know that existed.

the reason why the cycle is broken is because in the storyline the weasel breaks the cycle which causes everything in the timeline to be messed up
Does anyone know why we all always throw the retriever on the plane? Like its something we all do every time, but why do we do it? Is there like a history behind that?
it's just fun watching it flying in the air lol
Hells redeemer upgrade
Honestly no idea, but I’m willing to bet money that there was some kind of rumor back in the day that it was part of an Easter egg. Like some “get the Ray gun everytime” type Easter egg, you know what I mean?
@@MTBMeech Just checked, none of the redeemer steps are that.
@@Tactic_Zombies yea... Maybe. Or maybe its just one of those collective things we all just do.. Like not opening the stage door on Kino or something
47:00 Primis is sent to the wrong spot because Blood of the Dead takes place shortly after Weasel breaks his cycle.
Weasel breaking his cycle broke it for everyone else as well.
This has never been a debate MOB is clearly superior
@@themelancholia I'm not ready any of that BO4 fan girl there's a reason MOB is considered top 3 map of all time and blood is nowhere near it
@@themelancholiaholy god botd is dogshit bo3 clears get over it buddy
@@themelancholiaand yet mob still was 100x better, bo4 was kiddie version of zombies no players i know played bo4 for longer then a week 😂. We all played mob for yrs though funny
You know
I love mob cuz of the story and how it all started.
I swear to go I’ve been getting ads every 5 minutes. RUclips needs to fix this
Yeah, the ads on RUclips have gotten outrageous as of late, especially when watching on a TV. Last night I had a video give me 3 1/2 ads before I was allowed to skip.
Stanley Ferguson isnt Brutus, they are separate characters
Mob of the Dead or Blood of the Dead
Mob. Mob any day of the week
Hey you should bring back David from the apex videos he was pretty cool
That’s what I’m saying!
The zombies were a bit strong and a whole lot aggressive at first launch when when they hit you if they were able to grab you and restrict you for moving but treyarch patch that a long time ago during DE'slunch
I'm even more puzzled over how custom workshops don't outweight the negatives when a your last complaint about the Black ops 3 weapons you can mod any map for it to be Black ops 2 weapons, Black ops 1 weapons, Even the modern cod weapons with the amount of optimization you can do you can even change the game.
We seen it in maps like nightmare and there's even more projects that's going to be inspired by fallout, there's even a LEGO map that looks completely different from what you see, there's even world at war inspired maps that restrict both the movement in the health system like BO1 and world at war
And compare it to even weapons versus BO4 and BO4 even though the base weapons are a bit weaker you literally have a specialist wonder weapon that you could pop out anytime you get cornered by a zombie.
I’ll say it now , blood is better I prefer story and Easter egg and can’t be touched
I like Dead of the Night a little more but BotD is my second fav in the series
@@themelancholia I love dead of the night
12:00 beat Name? 😅 good video
It’s called “Twilight”, its from the dead ops arcade soundtrack. That’s where I got most of the music for the gameplay section of the video.
@@Tactic_Zombies nice
I played the OG map when it came out and it’s still legendary. I wish Blood had the Afterlife system and The Golden Gate Bridge but Blood takes it for me. Love the new areas and how you build up to getting to the prison. Also packed with Awesome side eggs. Other than the hells redeemer egg that one sucks lmao
Yeah, this video was a ton of fun to make, especially since I haven’t really played Blood since it first launched so it was almost like learning a whole new map again. I definitely think that had BO4 not launched as broken as it did then the general opinion of Blood would be much more positive
Who’s Who was definitely the first After Life mode, just wasn’t nearly as good
Honest I think both are great. BO4 is underrated. Not like it's the greatest or anything but underrated.
I agree, definitely not my favorite zombies game but now that the game’s dlc season is over and most of the bugs have been patched out it’s a really fun time
Ima be honest I didn't know there was much of a debate. I thought most hated BOTD
Yeah, nowadays there’s a lot of people who think very highly of blood of the dead
most people who "hate" BOTD are just sheep following what their favorite creator says
I love both
People who hate blood never gave it a chance, it is as deep as origins and as alive as Shadows
I argue, with my friend all the time I prefer blood
Cold War is far worse than Bo4.
