I did a double take when I saw your channel name. I had a beer with Walter Krupinski at the Miramar O club in 1989...? He had come with a group of WWII fighter pilots - German, British and American, on a speaking tour while I was with VF-24. It was amazing to be standing at the bar with this unassuming man in a rumpled brown suit who had dominated the skies 45 years earlier. Very humbling...

I came to see if you had a channel after we traded a couple of times (lag rammed me in a p38 lol)and it seems I can learn a lot from this. Chiefly, the use of flaps in dogfights, and the ability to track targets the high G maneuvers is something I can work on as well. Very epic video you should do more.

Just thought I'd show that guy a little trick I learned :) but seriously, if you get stuck in a torque spin, turning off the engine immediately removes all torque. Also looked pretty cinematic and I liked it.
Was wondering about that myself. All ready for some dead engine tricks when you restarted it.

Awesome flying and shooting! It's a pity a lot of the Mustang pilots didn't know when to cut their losses and dive instead of maneuvering, though. Hopefully you taught some of them a lesson!

Was there a reason why you went full throttle at the bottom? We’re you scared he might extend?
It seems like you wouldn’t want to induce so many Gs at the bottom, but there’s probably a factor I am not considering.

Is that heavy of flaps use relevant on older models such as the F-4?
Yes and no, depends on what you're fighting. Older 109 models naturally turn better.
@@Krupnski I've been spending the last couple of weeks with the F-4, the flaps don't deploy nearly as quick as the later models which likely affects their use case and method of use a lot.
