He , an amateur Saraswathi Veena player, nd an ardent Hindustani classical music lover, appreciates such tone in Pandith ji’s concert with GRT applause…
The intimacy of this house concert is incredible. And very fun to see Ravi Shankar's daughter soaking in the music while supporting the ensemble with the tanpura. This recording is a treasure.
Beautiful Hamsakinkini - first time I am hearing it. A base of Bhimpalas with the occasional, judicious, and very aesthetic substitution of N and G to move it in a different, surprising, lovely direction. Much to learn from here.
Scintillating,magnificent,overwhelming r some words to describe Panditji's recital.Can any one play better than that.Sur,laya,presentation,Art,Science-all that was in the playing.Pt Kumar Bose also deserves praise for brilliant accmpaniment.Pranaam to Panditji.
This is nothing but Nectar.....Amrit Sudha....what a mellifluous raga. I had the opportunity to hear Pandit ji in that visit of his in 1992 in Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi in April/May 1992 and hear and see him play sitar sitting right behind him on the stage a little deep behind due to overflowing crowd response. If the rag he played on that day could be found recorded and the video could be posted. I would be immensely grateful. Very very grateful to you for recording this rag.
