In all my years of board gaming, only a few other games have made me feel like a kid during my first unboxing as this game did. Good to see that Alexander had the same reaction.
This is very good looking and fun game. Yes it is a bit long and sometimes quirky but still. It can be a blast to play :) Chinese markers has the heretic but historical non communists that was not ok to print in the orginal print run (in China). Replaces other markers.
"The box is 30cm x 70cm x 13cm". You're in 'Merica now, Alexander. It's inches. :) Seriously, the Chinese stickers are the accurate marking for the period, but couldn't be printed for the game, given that it was printed in China. And those extra pieces in the baggie are the most recent mini expansion. And for table space... two 2'x4' pieces of MDF or plywood, butted together, and put on top of a smaller table, works very nicely. No need to wait for a noisy convention to play it! And bigger pieces of MDF or plywood works even better!
Ordered and received this from Nightingale Games last year. Looks so awesome! When will I get to play it? I’ll be retired in 3 years, so hopefully then. Can’t wait.
We've played the game and were pleasantly surprised by the gameplay, playtime, and interesting combat system. But you need a huge table and I mean huge. :-D
I have this game and expansion. If you're the gamer who likes Axis & Allies but wants something with a bit more meat to it, this is for you. It has a great feel of strategic combat with a simple combat and movement system. It can be a whole day game, but usually ends when one side or another sees the handwriting on the wall after turn six to ten... The TPA video might have been better if Alexander had done a sneak peek at the instructions so he could better identify the game components on camera. Overall, I can't wait to see the post game review....
I own it and it does look like a mess, but I love it. It can take quite awhile to play, but if you want to commit the time I think you'll end up enjoying the experience. I know I have!
By mess you may mean it takes up a lot of space, then yes, it does. It's not a good game, it's a great game. Our first global game is one of my most memorably gaming experiences ever, and I've been gaming for 45+ years.
You got this game for free then basically cackled over everything inside as if a drugged birthday boy! Not your best showing, I'm afraid, so I unusually thumbed it down. It's not as if you're going to have a remotely unbiased view about getting all these toys for free... sure okay...great job getting this free monster, is about all I can say, if that's how you want to cash in your followers, because that's why you got it....unfortunately this video is not representative of the best aspects of the Player's Aid channel! You have nothing to criticize about this beast from the deep? How can you if you get $500 of stuff for free? I did realize, though, for the first time, why these unboxing videos can be useful rather than just entertaining -- the reasons not to buy something become crystal clear.
@@HistoryTeacherSteveI'm having a great day and enjoyed reading your comment! I routinely give both positive and negative comments to this channel; the guys are well aware I speak glowingly when glowing is due. It's not in this case. Perhaps 'drugged birthday boy' was a bit hyperbolic, sorry Alex. As for liking to hear myself talk, this would actually be a case of liking to read what I write, to be more precise. cheerio!
So it's called War Room because you need to add a new room to your house to store and play it. Would love to try it at a convention some day.
This gets a thumbs up just for Alexander chortling his way through the entire vid like a kid on Christmas morning. 🎀🤗😄

When is the next video
War room the re-boxing will it all fit back in the box
🙃
Looks great ! Two key elements may keep me away though , a football field and friends .
Played A&A in the 80's. The KS sounded so amazing for nostalgic reasons but realized it would never see the table.
I was the same, looks an amazing game but a bit bloated for what it is.
I almost KSed this one but also realized I'd never get the number of players I needed to enjoy it. Too bad! Looks great!
I remember the first kickstarter, I wasn't able to back it but I'm happy to hear they're thinking of a reprint!
Anyone remember the movie Wargames (1983)? The computer, WOPR, at one point asks "wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess?" Yes please.........
How about a nice game of global thermal nuclear war ...dope

You will have to retire in order to play it!

Big box...but the board still has nothing on The Longest Day by Avalon Hill...
Have a copy sitting in my closet. Haven't played it in years though.
When will you guys be putting up your review/playthrough for this one??
Next couple of weeks
Need to find a Lazy Susan big enough to fit that board.
I have the base game, just can't get the Jumbo Expansion at the moment
Is the game to re-pack the contents?
Amazing game...did some videos on it myself..
Backed the first KS. Great game, unfortunate did only 2x the small scenario. Sold it half a year ago, no group and to long playtime. #sad
is this game still available? You have made me want to purchase it.
At the moment it's rare, but they said it was coming to reprint soon.
@@ThePlayersAid Reprint, via Kickstarter, spring/summer time frame.
Accuracy in titling.

It's probably going to sell for $500.00...LOL
Either you are tiny or that games huge!
Can't afford the postage.
This game looks like its a mess. Maybe there's a good game in there?

Woooow, you like hearing yourself talk, don't you? Guys, please ignore Marc, he's clearly had a bad day. Thanks for the vid!
