Phillip Phillips won because American Idol season 11 was fixed for him. The producers and 19 Entertainment already got "Home" written months in advance and needed Phillip to sing it. So they sabotaged Jessica Sanchez, let alone Joshua Ledet, and swayed the votes towards Phillip.

As messed up as it was, I remember a friend telling me that Phillip was going to win even though Joshua and Jessica were better, and said that one of them would not make the finale. Then said this could be Luther Vandross and Jennifer Lopez, but that won't matter cause at the end, they'll vote Philip. The worse part of that, he was right. It's crazy how people with superior vocal talent that should be in the finale are a lot of times left out and people with just ok voices seem to always win the finale. Joshua and Jessica were definitely robbed, so much so that Philip himself was suprised that he beat both of them out b/c even he knew they had better performances. Just look at his reactions both times. Just saying. Smh
