- P2W players got a nerf. The diamond pass is quite similar in value to the old gold tier. BUT the F2P players got a buff, because the bottleneck of progression is gold and they gave F2P players 60k more gold per season. They also removed books from the pass so this is a big hit to near maxed out players, but a buff to early players that can only use books on level 8-10 cards. To compensate for the removal of books, they've added a lot more cards in the tracks.

They removed books from the pass entirely. But they are potentially adding books into the season shop.
To compensate, we're getting a lot more cards in the diamond tier.
It is easier for a mid ladder player to progress because the season shop gives you more flexibility in upgrading what you need.

It's so scummy to take away the ability to get chests, gold, and ESPECIALLY crowns from the events tab. I play casually and the events tab is how I got crowns and chests easily without losing my sanity, and I can't do that anymore. Thanks supercell! :)

I started playing shortly after the game first came out putting hundreds of dollars into it and yet I still am not max on every card. Now add level 15. I’m done too

@birb You should return to CoC, actually. I used to be an avid Brawl Stars player, but I stopped playing because the game got very repetitive after a while. It's also pretty hard to max out/level up brawlers past a certain point. CoC is more fun.

@@orangejuice not really, potential archer queen in arena 5 is a HUGE buff to p2w players imo.
Also farming for chests and crowns will become stressful as hell for anyone stuck in the f2p limbo of arena 14-16, specially because in my experience, you can be in 5900 and farm for one single chest can cost you 400 trophies lost to MK 15 spammers.
And when said chest turns out to be a freaking 3h gold cage it only makes you want to throw your device at the street

Why should there be inflation on a bunch of code made YEARS AGO? Inflation is where the price increases because there isn't enough supply? A game doesn't cost anything to make other than time, so why should the price of it go up?? Supercell could easily change just 1 line of code and give everyone infinite gold. I really don't see why the price had to increase. The people at Supercell are already rich. JUST LET US PLAY OUR GAME!! Also, as OJ mentioned, 110k a month if you hit the daily cap, that's enough to level up 1 level 14 card every month. Or when level 15 comes up, probably like 1/3 of the card. WE NEED MORE GOLDDD!

Play brawl stars. They released a update making the game super f2p (removing loot boxes) And I managed to get 3 and a half legendaries in three months using the new credit system

Basically they changed it to make players play more for the same progression which you could get for playing less in the old track. A tactic used to make people play their game more as well as spend more money

I'd be perfectly okay if they did what you recommended and left the old passes alone and just released a juicer one for more money. This is beyond greedy and really kills my want to play. Well, it costs more for Supercell to run the servers because power costs more, directly increases running costs and then they make everything more expensive + Google play do change the prices as well. It's not the same proportion though, they are charging way more than the increased costs.

In this case, the inflation that is occuring is essentially a chain; wage increase due to inflation, SC is having to spend more money on electricity, keep up costs, and to increase their revenue
We all do also get rises in wages but it's not quite the same rate for each country, some countries will experience worse inflation so the increase in in-game costs affects each nation differently
