I'm surprised it hasn't gone up in price! Seems like a beautiful piece of history and craftsmanship. I guess it's just not in demand 🤷♂️
The embroidery type is called “piteado” is also used in charros and vaqueros belts and are expensive several thousands of dollars.
Beautiful saddle 🤙🏿
Beautiful!!!
As American I realized that the original cowboys are the Mexicans
She’s a hoot !
Beautiful
Something charro finally
Something tells me she was expecting the saddle to be worth more. ?
She's a very enticing woman.
She wouldn't sell that saddle anyway.
You can tell it means too much to her.
You can tell this woman was smoking hot in her 20's and 30''s.
Still smoking hot 🔥
She thinks so, anyway.
@@kvogel9245 she's right.
Well, she doesn’t smoke any longer.
I KNOW she's "Smoking Hot" TODAY.... PERIOD!!!!!!
*Cactus Fiber* 🤯
Fiber of maguey , is the cactus of tequila
She seems... uhm.. unique
GILF
If she knew so much about the saddle why did she bring it in? She wouldn’t let the man talk she was talking for him. Glad this one is over with, now she can get back in her saddle and ride away. Oh, I hope she doesn’t forget her famous crown 👸🏼
🎶 Happy Trails To You 🎶
So very cool!
Why did the lady with the saddle say she thought the appraiser was "tricking me"?
Can you say... "Low Ball".... are you kidding me?????
It should be worth double what he said.
Low ball estimate...
Totally is!
Yeah I was thinking much much higher . I don’t think the appraiser was well versed on this type of item
So it costs 10 to 12k and a year to make but this 90 years old saddle is only worth 6-8 k lol nice logic
I was thinking that too....doesn’t make any sense at all!
It means that it didn't capt it's value. A new one is actually worths more because it will be in a nicer condition. Not every object that's old, means worth more money
The craftsmen who have the ability to make a saddle of this stature are few and far between today. Plus, the labor costs are far higher today than when this was originally made. Those two factors alone account for the cost of the new one versus the old. That said, I thought the antique would have brought more that $6-8k.
You’re assuming that because something is old, it’s worth more. There’s no guarantee that anything will hold its value, let alone increase in price.

25k or more it’s a work of art 🖼
Its worth more than that beautiful saddle
Is this one of Rick Harrison appraisers?
Very disappointing valuation for a superb and historic item. Not sure why the video clip is circulating.
Nice saddle…
Maguey isn't a cactus. It's a succulent, but it's not a cactus.
Good Shows. Thank You!
How much does it weigh??
Interesting piece.
Way lower than she thought.
ooohh its made in GUADALAJARA JALISCO !!!
this gringo couldn't be any more gringo
Her voice grates!
yikes. does it make you feel better to comment ?
The burned markings around the neck of the saddle right under the head of the saddle (what gringos call the “horn”) above the shoulders of the saddle tree, are called a corbata or the “tie” of the saddle. If your saddle doesn’t have a corbata you’re a city boy.
Customs and traditions of Mexican country man
nice saddle, i have a 1940s mexican childs saddle ex con without the fenders light and dark tan leather ,brass studs, silver concho's and it fits my vintage motor cycle perfect, and it was'nt cheap, I paid £80 last year, bargain
wonder if she sold it..? hope not..!
Maguey is not a cactus
would
I'm watching the woman
If you wanted something similar to this, you would have to pay 15 Mexicans 35 thousand dollars and wait 12 years to have it outfitted. Or you could sell this one for 5 Frito chips and a bag of skittles in todays currency.
*Am I the only one who wants to burn all these art/weird stuff? how can one want to pay that amount of $ for a vase? yet, the void would not be filled*
Dr Goebbels, who reached for his pistol when he heard the word "culture," would heartily agree with you.
She’s kind of hot. Maybe not as hot as she thinks she is though.
Clearly she rode that on a high horse. 😆
Shes obsessed with herself
You sure seem to know a lot about person you've never met from seeing a 3 minute clip of her.
@@namewithay some people just have a gift, i guess! kinda like me, within 4 seconds of clicking on this video i knew they were talking about a saddle.
You're seriously jealous of the attractiveness of an 60+ year old woman?... Yikers.
@@stevorobo692 Rodeo queen. The Calgary Stampede Parade had a group of former Rodeo Queens riding in the parade and they ALL still looked hot, not matter the age. But they also still RIDE THE HARD RIDE.
@@Dwightstjohn-fo8ki Hah I was born and raised in Calgary. Lived here for 33 years.
Beautiful saddle... annoying owner
1st?..wow
THAT SADDLE DOES NOT BELONG IN A GRINGOS POSSESSION IT BELONGS IN MEXICO WHERE IT CAN BE DISPLAYED PROPERLY
You didn’t pay attention? Pedro Gonzales in Nogales Mexico gave her this saddle as a gift. So, be mad the Mexicans for giving away their possessions. Sabes, no seas tan inútil para hablar.
Put in an offer then.
I still have my solid silver money clip I bought in 1962 in Taxco. Gringo dollars fit well.
How arrogant can you be? Do you really think YOU get to decide who can and can not give gifts? Do you really think you get to dictate the nature of relations for EVERYONE in Mexico? The giver decides to whom it belongs; not you.
That's the Goblins' logic. A Goblin made it: ergo it belongs to the Goblin Nation for ever and should be returned to them.
