The Antique Expert its believed to have been Bribed to give a Low Value for the purpose of getting it cheap, Back then it should have been valued at the Minimum of £47,000…. Goes to show the Corruption within the BBC even back then…

(It was similarly strong against other foreign currencies, so on an international market the pound valuation might sound low to modern ears but perhaps not be unrealistic for the time.)
I have a number of car boot buys such as a set of silver jewellery set with Wedgewood cameos bought for only 5 Euro about 20 years ago and a Steiff Bear with its label bought for 1 Euro, again 20 or so years ago. I love car boot sales, and the Antiques R%oad Show has taught me what to look out for.

It is very unlikely that the holder belonged to Queen Victoria. Instead it appears that the royal crest was on the box because the jeweler had a Royal Warrant as "jeweler to the Queen"--in other words, the company was allowed to use the Royal Arms in connection with its business in an appointed trading capacity.
I’m not sure he is expert in that field. Connection to Royal family, connection to one of the most known monarch Queen V. All this adds to historical value.
