Hell yeah worked like a charm, thanks!, for anyone having issues make sure you have a merchant and set them to refresh their inventory to inept weps or clothing so you won't go broke while searching for the value, keep doing it as decreased until you get diminishing returns, hop into a Pug match for a win then switch it to increased value, and then there's your value, put 6 0's at the end of the value as the video states then boom you're all set.
Thanks for the video mate. Couldn't find anything for this anywhere as it wasn't as simple as usual games for ce. Your video is still helping 4 years later
I have figured out that 1 Copper = 1 Value, 1 Silver = 256 Value, and 1 Gold = 65536 Value so if you dont want your copper to be in the hundreds so it looks normal use this information
To give yourself gold > Open arena.rsg in a hex editor. Press ctrl+f, change the search value to string and search for your protagonists name. Just before your name you should see the string ...arena hub.... and in between arena hub and your name is the hex values for currency. If you have 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 copper, the hex values will look like this in between your name and arena hub, ....04 06 05.... change the 05 to F9 for 249 gold. No need for cheat engine. If you want to change the look of your hirelings, which you don't get any choice over, they are all premade. Make a new character for story mode, this will be the character we will copy. open the story mode save game that you just created, exanima002.rsg in a hex editor and search for your newly created character. select everything from the first letter of the name to the hex value 01 a few lines down. This data is a key part of all characters, copy this and paste it into areana.rsg's character you want to modify. save and start exanima.
Yes sir, anything that is saved you can change. The easy part to change is the character and gold, because that block of hex always has the same amount of digits. I'm not too sure about the skills but the inventory is quite complicated to decipher. Inventories can have different amounts of items. Consequently, the block of hex referring to the inventory items is always different lengths. Ideally, each item, no matter what it is, should be the same length of hex values. That would make it easy to split up the inventory block of hex. If each item is a different length of hex, it's going to be a nightmare to figure out. *To figure out the inventory* You'd have to have three saves that are almost identical: 1) Completely naked, no items 2) Completely naked except 1 item 3) Completely naked with 1 different item (to figure out whether items are different lengths) Compare the 3 and try to identify where the differences lie. *To figure out the skills* You'd have to do something similar, but before you directly tried to identify the skills, you'd first have to identify what part of the hex bock is responsible for character experience. Because to figure out the skills, you'd have to have a naked save just before leveling up and one just after leveling up. If you didn't already know where the experience was located, you could mistakenly interpret the change in experience as the new skill, as those two are the only things that would be changed in the character data section of your save game. If anyone figures it out, be sure to let me know :)
TUTORIAL FOR THIS VIDEO SUMMARY By isolating the code that represents how much money you own, you are able to change the amount of money that you have in-game. In order to do this, you will require a small amount of coin - the more items you can buy and sell, the easier it will be to isolate the value. IMPORTANT Please back up your saves before you do this; data you do not backup is data you are prepared to lose. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Download Exanima and Cheat Engine from their respective websites. 2. Open Exanima and Cheat Engine 3. Click the flashing icon in the top left corner of your screen and select Exanima from the list of options that appear. 4. Start up your arena save and select the "First Scan" option with an "Unknown Initial Value". 5. Wait for a short amount of time and then change the Value Type to "Unchanged Value" and then scan again. 6. Change the Value type to "Increased Value", sell an item from the inventory and then scan again. 7. Repeat this step until you have no items. 8. Change the Value Type to "Decreased Value", buy an item from the shop and then scan again. 9. Repeat this step until a single value remains on Cheat Engine. 10. Right click the value, add it to your address bar and then edit it's value to "999999". 11. Voila! You now have a butt-load of gold.
If you guys dont have enough money, get into a fight and win, then change it on cheat engine to "increased value", then buy something and change it to "decreased value".. keep doing it until you find the code youre looking for
+Bubba Gurt Glad the video was helpful :) Cheat Engine is quite a versatile tool once you get the basic principles down, but I did try to make the video useful without the need for any prior knowledge of the program.
Thanks for the view and comment, Liam. I'd either suggest to keep trying as you may be editing the incorrect values; otherwise, in the time since I made this I'm sure there have been more sophisticated and reliable tutorials made :)

Sold shoes for 2. Entered value 3 and next scan. Sold some other clothing for 1. I did next scan 4 and i got one result only. try to keep it under 1 silver. afterwards i changed it to this value 655366553665536 which gave me 27297 golden coins. Hope it helps.
I downloaded a cheat engine from fearless revolution and I do not know where in the exanima files to put it. Does anyone know? I can't find a guide for how to use this engine anywhere.
cheat engine is a hex editing program that does hex editing for you. simply open cheat engine itself. putting it in the game files for exanima is not needed. just run the game and open cheat engine then target the exanima process by clicking flashing icon on top left. the you will see a little bar on the right side of cheat engine like a search bar. search your value of money and wait till it finds all the addresses. then change the amount you have by selling or buying something. and then search new value. narrow down addresses until you find a single one. that one is the address you want to edit. double click that address to add it to memory table. it will be on the bottom. then double click on the value itself and change it to your desired amount. i didn't even watch the video i just know how to use cheat engine
+Gengar You can do the opposit and yust join in some competitions untill you narrow it down, If you lose you yuse the decreased value one and if you win you yuse the increased value one. It works yust the same but takes a bit longer :)
+Shirurgeon Nhirurgeon I'm sure it works on the same basic principle as shown here, but I don't know about manipulating ranks or skills specifically. Winning a fight means gaining XP, therefore a value is increased each time you win a fight. It's just locating that value and adjusting it incrementally which in theory would allow you to level up a lot quicker.
I no longer have it unfortunately, since it was a copy of my actual game progress which I edited and then replaced with my original file after this video. If you send me your save file I can look into adding more money for you, if you'd like :)

Honestly I have no fucking idea what to do you didn't even explain it. You sold things to get the value you down BUT I DONT HAVE ANY MONEY TO SELL THINGS. I can't get money because my character has no health and a fucking hammer and even after that it doesn't go down I literally have NO money and if my character dies more than once it makes me start a new character so it fucks it over completely. +jesse Summers As I explain in the video, copying what I did will not necessarily give you an appreciation of the technical side of what's going on, though I DID say that completing at least some of the tutorial in Cheat Engine would be helpful to gain an overall understanding of the workings of the program. Really, it's just not my fault that you chose to ignore that suggestion. In a nutshell - you are searching for a value in the game's memory which stores the amount of coin you have. An easy way to do so is reducing it by buying things, so by trial and error you find the location. By the sounds of it, you've messed up your Arena so you're better off starting fresh because it sounds as if your character(s) are Inept anyway. Some practice might be helpful, and as a suggestion, if you're not particularly skilled at the game, I wouldn't recommend a short ranged weapon like the hammer or the hatchet, but rather the metal bar as you can keep your distance from your opponent. Anyway, to use the method shown here, it is required that you make at least some effort in the game, to earn some coin. Another way is to put your fighter(s) in fights; winning will be an increased value and losing (or forfeiting) will be a reduced value (of coin). At any rate, the gold will be no use until you have the requisite skill level for your fighters. So, really, winning fights and earning some coin (even if you intend to cheat) is pretty much a necessity, anyway.
+Coldheart9009 i lost fights on purpose and i didnt have any money so i cant lose more and the value would still be way too high. after dying a couple of times it made me start a new charavter which i had the same problem with becuase it only starts me at 4 bronze coins. i cant wrap my head around the combat either. the main thing i was told is to hold left mouse to swing but one swing will be powerfull and then the next will be so soft it doesnt do any damage or his arms just wrap around the opponents body and after some hits the character randomly spins in a circle
The best advice I can give you is to play the practice mode of the arena, to get used to the controls and the game's mechanics. You will get nowhere before getting to grips with the physics-based combat in Exanima. Try the novice arena first, and once you've mastered that, you'll be better prepared for the real arena mode at a low level.
