I eliminated the second and third verses. Harrison used a Tennessean. This is a 1966 Gretsch Country Gentleman played through a Vox AD15VT set to AC30TB w/ no effects. Min Bass, Min Mid, Max Treble. .010 -.046 nickel plated wire wound strings. The amp was close-mic recorded with a Tascam DR07 digital recorder and then mixed with the backing tracks created from the original recording. Compression was added during mixing. The performance was double tracked. No tabs.
My videos are really intended for accomplished guitarists who want to polish up their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played - I am not a guitar teacher and do not provide tabs. I welcome specific questions. If the various chords that I am playing are not familiar to you then I would suggest that you visit some of the many free guitar chord sites. I had to learn these songs by listening to vinyl records and watching live performances on tv.

this simple lead guitar work only proves that simple is and always will stand toe to toe and out shine imo any of that fancy guitar shredding stuff

I think of it like a magic trick. Once you see how it's done, it seems quite simple. Harrison was all about technique. Clean playing, especially in the studio, is more difficult then overdriven rapid guitar playing.

Thank you so much again for this song :) I love playing through George's riffs and licks. Not by intending to cover or reproduce anything but just for the memory of him :)

Yes I am! Those riffs are a piece of brilliancy and I enjoy thinking of them, especially if you prefer playing them for yourself :)
Good to know that others appreciate this too!

Another fantastic cover! I know you are using nickel plated wire wound strings, but may I ask what brand you are using? Thanks :-)

Thanks for your comment. I use many brands -- it doesn't matter. The way the Beatles recorded you couldn't tell the difference in the finished recording. Compression, limiting, etc. make it virtually impossible to distinguish what string is being used. Playing technique, guitar, and amp have much more affect on the final sound recorded. Don't believe stories about Pyramid Gold flats, etc, -- the Beatles used whatever strings were around and even mixed them occasionally.

The video is 1080p HD. Watch it on a large screen device. There is nothing hidden. Every finger playing a note is clearly visible. This channel is meant for advanced guitarists. Try slowing down the video.
