    Wow, you had some great skies for this and right off the bat! I've not driven this stretch so it was good to see, nice work with everything!

      Freewayjim Thanks! Although I-880 has gotten better throughout this decade, I wouldn’t put it as priority one if/when you visit. I think you’ll edge more towards I-280 or I-680 in terms of a longer drive than this one. Even U.S. 101 throughout the Bay Area is a touch better.

    Aahhhh. 880 freeway. A freeway where if you are going 85 MPH in the fast lane, YOU are impeding traffic because that's not fast enough for others. OK exaggerating but people do drive very fast on 880! Bay Area resident here. Cool video!

      I think that applies to any freeway. If more people were aware of cars behind while in the far inner passing lane and moved over, there would be less traffic problems. I don’t see speed itself being a problem on straight roads as long as it is done safely, as in without weaving in and out of traffic. Hence why I usually hang out on the outside lanes.
      Hopefully later in 2021 things will return to a sense of normalcy and I can make another visit to the Bay Area, still more routes I wish to cover again, thinking about a Northbound I-880 drive from San Jose since my old footage of it is no more. Thanks for watching!

      @@rockersk08 I've gone 160 MPH on HWY 280 (scenic part) and that's only 60 MPH faster than the other cars! lol. BTW. I go a lot slower now.

      @@rockersk08 Just drove on 880s last weekend. One ford truck had duct trap on both back lights. People just had to guess and keep a safe distance. Of course that car also crossed from a merge into fast lane in one turn, scared the crap out of everyone lol. I don't know why people think it's ok to drive without any back lights.

    Ahhhh, driving this home to the Peninsula from Oakland using 237 instead of any of the tolled bridges haha. Looks even cooler in sunrise light!
    Is 24 and the Caldecott Tunnels on your plan soon?

      I wanted to revise my coverage of CA 24, but I wasn’t able to swing it during this trip. Not sure when I can get back to cover it again, but it will be redone eventually. Thanks for watching!

    I’m from the Bay Area. Can you make a video of the entire route of 580 from East end to west end??

      I need to get I-580 in the Richmond area and across the bridge, but it never pans out for me when I get there. If I do get it, I probably won’t do a full on clinch of I-580 in one video.

      How about from Stockton to The City??

    • @rockersk08
      @rockersk08  5 лет назад

      Stockton is well outside my normal range, whenever I do get the chance to visit the Bay Area. I’m sure I’ll get around to it eventually. I am confident in my route-planning ability, so if/when it happens, it will turn out great.
