Their most personal song. From the waste of time that was Minx, then one more chance when their company bet the store on their redebut as Dreamcatcher, giving up was never an option. The friendship among the members is of the kind I've rarely seen in my life, more like an infantry squad than a musical group. They never gave up, and their company never gave up on them during the difficult times. On April 20, 2022 after 5 years of incredibly hard work they reached the top with their first win on a music show. They've gotten three more since then, and since they renewed their 7 year contracts in November of 2022 there will be plenty more great music to come. Their CEO (more like their father) gave them everything they asked for in the new contracts. They dodged the seven year curse just like they escaped the curse of the spider in the Nightmare story arc. There is no other group in Kpop like Dreamcatcher.
A lot of K-pop songs do mix in English! Some more than others. This song actually doesn't have any Korean, it's Japanese (which is why it wasn't uploaded by Dreamcatcher's own channel, but by Pony Canyon, a Japanese music label), because sometimes when K-pop group get popular in Japan, they release some songs in Japanese especially for the Japanese market (they also sometimes release Japanese language versions of their Korean songs, but this one was exclusively in Japanese). Rock and metal is also a lot more accepted into the mainstream in Japan than it is in Korea, which probably explains some of their popularity over there, and also why some of their Japanese tracks feature the loudest metal elements (I think the band in Endless Night are also members from a Japanese metal band, instead of the usual musicians Dreamcatcher uses for the majority of their music). It's interesting how much of Korean popular culture is popular in Japan, and also vice versa! Sometimes people from Japan or other Asian countries also go to Korea to become K-pop idols, so some K-pop groups will have some members from Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, or Vietnam. Dreamcatcher has 6 Korean members and 1 Chinese member!
And this isn't even their heaviest song, which is "No More". 😉 But they are really going into Babymetal territory here. The lyrics speak about their struggles as Minx and how happy they are to be Dreamcatcher now! Especially when it was clear that Minx had failed, they were in a dark place, hoping for "one more chance", which their company provided, much to all our luck. It is a rare thing in K-Pop that a failed group gets another chance, but their CEO is like an uncle to them. He even said in an interview that the failure of Minx was on the company, not the girls. And that if Dreamcatcher failed as well, he would become a cucumber farmer to support the girls. That is unheard of in K-Pop.
They share the stage with idols, but they are above idols . They have the Beauty of Angels , but they are more than Angels . They have the Magic of Wizards , but they are more power than Wizards . They have the Enchanting Charms of Fairies, but they are magical than Fairies . They are the Guardians of Dreams , They are the Legendary Dreamcatcher
This song has never been performed live. It will not be performed now as the group are no longer with the Japanese label. When quoting the stats of the mv's please quote the views too. They are very important in K-Pop. There are two songs in English. One is Can't Get You Out Of My Mind and there is a English remake of Bon Voyage. The songs Propose and OOTD are mainly in English too.
