Margaret Cornish Sweat was my 10 great grandmother. She was an Angolan Woman taken as a slave and brought over in the 1600 She was brought over on a ship. She was sold for corn in Virginia. My distant great grandfather was an indentured servant from England. I'll bet this is the same time when she came over
No Africans were ever slaves. They invaded and moved here and wiped out nearly all the original people and made them slaves. The Negros who were the Jews and original people of North and South America. The Africans and other Asians from Cyprus continued to wipe out and oppress them. The fact that millions of Afrikans were kidnapped and shackled shows just how greedy & evil the intention of stealing Ndongans for enslavement. I'm with you, who manufactured these shackles? Was it the Afrikans? Did the European colonizers trick them? Were the shackles manufactured in Europe? Where did Europeans get iron?

Thanks for joining the conversation. That is correct. The first enslaved Africans arrived in the Americas in the 1490s. The first enslaved African we can document in what is now the United States was a man named Estaban who was brought to Florida with a Spanish expedition in 1527. However, our purpose in this video is to discuss the first Africans we can document in the English colonies of North America, which would be the group that arrived on the White Lion in August 1619.

The historical record is clear: We can say with absolute certainty that the Africans brought to Virginia in the early 1600s were indentured servants exactly like their English counterparts. Every known historical record points in that direction. No historical evidence points in any other direction. They were no more "property" of the planters who had paid their passage than were the English indentures. It took a series of court cases in the late 1600 to turn Africans into "property". Many of the early African indentured servants went on to own property of their own and to pay for indentured servants of their own. Anthony (Antonio) and Mary Jones were just one example of the African indentured servants who worked off their indenture terms and then went on to become prosperous planters. Your speculative narrative reflects inventive 21st century interpretations rather than serious scholarship. You do no honor to the real stories of the original Africans who populated Virginia. Their memories deserve better. Your narrative can't change the historical record. In some ways, there was more justice for Africans in Virginia in the early 1600s than in modern times. That is a reality that you should research. Africans had access to courts, to property (land) titles, to churches, to markets, and in many other ways they had a degree of equality that would not be approximated in the 20th Century. Don't twaddle about the research that you have done; I'm appalled at the scholarship and historical records that you have chosen to ignore!!!

My question is how would these slave ships be able to hold up against 20 to 30 or 40 ft waves out in the middle of the ocean considering that they were supposedly out at sea for like 2 months ? Not to mention they supposedly carried hundreds of slaves at a time in these ships ! Something ain't adding up here . And out of all these slave ships , there's not 1 single ship that was kept and setup as a historic marker to back up this history that we have been taught ! Don't get me wrong because I do believe that there were slaves transported by ships but these numbers just don't add up and a ship back in them days would've sunk with hundreds of people on board , not to mention them 20 to 40 ft waves that are going to happen during a storm out in the ocean . There's no way those wooden ships would've been able to stand up to those massive waves . Yeah now we got ships that can stand up to those massive waves but guess what ??? Those ships are made from iron and steel . We gotta remember we didn't have technology back in the 1600s and 17 and 1800s that could transport hundreds of slaves . This story was a cover up to hide the fact that these devils were killing the native Americans by the thousands so the white man could take complete control over this country ! What a shame for them because they obviously ain't read revelation 13:10 in the bible where it says he that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity and he that killeth with the sword must be killed by the sword . There's another slavery period that's coming in the future to where the so called white man gotta pay for his crimes that he's committed against humanity and it'll happen when the Lord returns to set up his kingdom here on earth after he destroys everything that we built these days and it'll be rebuilt by the so called white man during the 1000 years of rebuilding the kingdom of the most high . Read also Isaiah 14: 1-2 , Ezekiel 25 :12-15 and Amos chapter 9 ! Nobody wants to talk about that but that's a prophecy that the most high has put in place and it's going to be bad on you devils because you're going to recieve double of what your forefathers did to our forefathers and we'll be ruling this earth with our Lord Yahawah . So be prepared and get your minds ready for that time that's coming
