It's hard to get mad when you don't put in the little effort for your fans to give them a chance to go back and watch old streams.

To be accurate, it is actually acoustic cleansing foam which reduces reflection of the soundwaves back to the source/recording equipment thereby reducing distorted and unclear sound. If you were outside of that room you would still be able to hear them relatively clearly. It just makes for much higher quality audio.

streaming is a very strange beast. as he mentioned, it's incredibly difficult to fake it, like with YTers like Logan/Jake Paul that aren't able to rely on their editing shenanigans, but have to actually be entertaining for extended periods of time. But, then you have youtubers like Cr1tikal who is exactly the same in his fortnite streams as in his videos, because that's what his viewers expect. he's just a chill dude, that makes very funny deadpan quips. he's just a generally very funny guy that is able to succeed in his youtube and streaming career.
