Mixer failed because they tried to move into an established market with a subpar product and no brand recognition. They had nothing to distinguish or elevate them above twitch. In the age of the internet you either have to be first to a market or have the better product.

Mixer was a buggy, missing features, vods not loading properly, no chat replay, and not really that good compared to Twitch.

When a creater starts up and gets popular on a platform it's like his main platform, if you say that creater you can't post on that platform you need to post on different platform the viewing rate will be disturbed and advertising of that platform will be difficult for the creater. As per ninjas viewers 60 percent of them are casual viewers, 30 percent are active viewers and 10 percent are superfans, so that too affects the ability of creater to advertise the platform.

I get a hint of inspiration from Joe Rogan in the format but the content is all original and relevant and I’m just glad that you have a self created platform that allows YOU to be YOU and that’s the version that “real” people really like. It’s kind of similar to the ufc. Fighters move to different organisations but the fans don’t follow the fighters. The ufc has earned an reputation that is that they have the very best and that everyone that isn’t in the ufc are bums even tho there are a lot of greats in other organisations. This is why organisations like twitch and the ufc always stays on top, because they have an reputation and that reputation is for the most part accurate.
Red vs Blue is a short episodic with a long and twisting storyline featuring multiple characters that many loved. The quibi model could work.

It’s actually is a good move to pay a creator to move to their platform. The reason why is it always seems to fail is because the platform they have created is not better or innovative or even the same as the competition, they always have a worse platform and they think just because they bring a big creator that the viewership will follow and stay on their on platform, the viewership only stays for a couple weeks before realizing that the old platform they were on was way better. That’s what’s wrong with buying out creators.

Impaulsive Is longer than the normal blogs
My dad is a Program Manager at Microsoft who as we know owned Mixer, my dad streams live coding on Twitch and Microsoft saw how well he was doing and wanted him to move to Mixer. Being smart he declined doing that as it was brand new and everyone was watching Twitch streams, he knew the platform was not going to be good from the get-go so when they tweeted they were shutting down Mixer and he started having people's tweets come in all at once asking questions where he didn't know what was happening. Mixer was never going to be a good streaming platform as it basically popped up out of nowhere while people were already on Twitch and didn't care.
I respect ninja. He does what needs to be done to get the bag. I don’t necessarily agree on his outlook but he does what he does better than anyone.

I don't think they know half the story of how this works I kinda get what there saying but it does work when you look at market percentages cause Facebook gaming in 2019 took 5% of the streaming market from twitch using that bushiness model While Mixer was able to take .4%

the way to build a streaming service is to get a couple big names that draw people to the platform and then in like 10 years there will be new streamers that started on your platform that are as big as ninja. Microsoft just didn't have the patience to wait that long.

They needed to pull the smaller streamers too. You can’t expect a couple big names to carry a whole platform.
One of the problems I believe that mixer had was they had no recognizable community and that was the main reason why people didn't support mixer besides brand loyalty...if I was mixer... I would have told ninja that in the contract you need to help grow other streamers on mixer by streaming with them, and hosting them as he was doing... But the lack of streaming with anyone on mixer just made it seem like I'm here on mixer but I'm still only streaming with my friends that are on twitch and RUclips..🤔 this is the reason why twitch is the place to be for streaming over youtube and Facebook because they have a dedicated community that no one else has 🤔 and until the competition grows a community... Twitch will remain number #1...
Ninja is set with whatever else he does, but I really feel bad for the other streamers who are contemplating which site they should stream, and lost their others streams.

Their problem was they didn't have a platform to pull viewers from. Twitch was there first so everyone knows about them. RUclips had 2 billion people to pull from so they can grow. Facebook is the same and that's why they're growing. They tried pulling people off of xbox dashboard but not enough people wanted to watch off of there. They saw the writing on the walls and xcloud can grow with Facebook and compete with stadia and amazon. It was a sad but good business decision. I preferred the platform for the bitrate but oh well.
