@@choo1030That's because back them people really had to sing completely live, now everybody uses things that helps then get this "record" feel while singing so that's the difference. Most singers today couldn't do what Freddie Mercury did on his shows. It's baffles me that people believe BTS (and other groups and singers) are just singing and all we hear is their voice...it's pretty obviou there is sound treatment in it. It doesn't mean it's bad or that they can't sing (obviously they can), it's just how pop music nowadays is done, it's the style (if Michael Jackson were alive today he would use it too). No one (and as you noted) not even Freddie Mercury sounds the same live, it's impossible, specially in a show with many songs (or heavy dancing).
@@NaFran49 Freddie Mercury was a heavy smoker and drinker. Had he not done both, kept his lungs and vocal cord healthy, and spent more time practicing, he would have pulled off amazing live shows. Also, have you seen BTS members singing lives? You definitely should. They aren't faking their voice during lives. Tiny Desk concert BTS. Look it up. You can't fake that.

I'm glad Jimin is becoming more confident in his voice again and in himself in general. He has a beautiful and very distinct voice that is not easily imitated. It's special. He's so talented! 💜
jimin has always been confident about his voice specialy after wing era. but the boy overworked his body and voice. he needed this rest and he always shone but now he is shining with his voice more than ever
@@Moroccan_mapping99 I agree with you! He's my bias and i've seen him struggle with his vocals a lot before but not anymore. I know he's been always confident about his voice but these days in particular he's SHINING. I'm glad he got to rest his voice because it sounds beautiful.
@@nicolecr882 he is only a humain and he carried the hardest parts in both sining and dancing. with 0 trainee and no rest doing back to back tours and concerts and practice he even developed choronic pain because of how over worked he is. if they toured without him resting he would ve probably broken his back and neck or damaged his voice. im so glad he rested you can even see the difference evn in his talking voice. in behind scenes he can beraly rise his voice or speak

Voices like jimin always belonged to legends , you can know instantly when jimin starts singing, his high pitch and his own singing style and tone are very rare and absolutely unique to him when it comes to kpop vocalists 😭

@Sarah 7 Facts. Now, let's be honest. One way to stay relevant and on top is to offer something different and unique. This is part of the reason why many top artists are easily recognizable because they're unique. They offer very unique tones and people could distinctively identify them. Jimin is also that. His voice and tone are unique. And everyone needs to chill and accept that praising one member does not take mean demeaning the others. The people that think so need to grow up. 😂🤭

You should react to Namjoon singing, he's a rapper but personally I find his voice really soothing. I feel like if he practiced more and fine tuned his vocals they would be really beautiful. He has a demo version of serendipity, he played it when he went live for the fans as an example kind of thing but he sounded really pretty, and Mono, and he has a cover of Only Fools with Jungkook.

I loved the song. I feel like it was the best song for the dark time in the world right now. I agree with what you said Justin they could have easily given Jin more lines. There are many lines they could have split to give him more lines and J-Hope and Suga also. I am annoyed that they are continuously doing this to him. Regardless of that, I loved the song so much and it definitely cheered me up in the dark time.

I agree 100%. For rapline I think it's kinda difficult to give more line for them. But it's different with vocal line, maybe Jimin's part (second solo after Suga) can go to Jin.
I think they took the easy way out. They got a song which suited Jimin and Jungkook's voices great and didn't bother/have time/want to edit it so that it would suit all members. Well, it would've been pretty easy to give the second half of JK's verse to Tae and then give parts of Tae's chorus to Jin for example. But you don't want including the members be more important than giving them parts that makes their voices sound the best. Tae and Jin sound amazing on the other songs in this performance, though.

Jungkook's adlibs were the highlight for me in this performance and his raspy tone at the beginning. He's really playing and experimenting with his voice. You should check out their performance of Make it right in the Lotte concert. I thought it really showcased their voices.

Jin has told us that it takes a couple of songs for his voice to properly warm up so maybe that was the reason he was straining a bit

They really are breaking hearts, especially when live. I prefer hearing their live performances over audio most times. It's an experience for me.
I also relate that Jin should have gotten more lines. And as for the straining, I also noticed it, but I don't know the reason myself.

I couldn't take my eyes off Jimin through the entire thing. He is truly one of a kind. That's why he was named with the title “stage commander” by Kmedia and Kfans, A unique voice that can't be found anywhere else in the world, freaking beautiful face and body, attractive facial expressions.

Thanks for your insights!! Honestly Jungkook really stood out to me in this performance especially because of his slight rasp and clean tone and especially the adlibs at the end!! I'm glad he got to sing all his adlibs in this performance. And he harmonizes so much with everyone during all the songs they sang here, it's amazing to me.
As for Tae/V, personally I much prefer him in the live versions of dynamite than in the recorded version. I think his tone adds some magic to the song and it sounds less interesting to me in the auto-tuned version. So i really loved his voice here! I'm not a professional so it's just my personal taste haha.

Honestly I like V's tone in the live version better than the auto-tuned one in the studio version. I get that it might not fit in some opinions, but personally I like it a lot. And I absolutely can't wait for his mixtape, it's gonna be amazing!!

Jungkook's voice sounds 300% better then 2 years ago. Love the entire group the same but, you can tell jungkook has worked hard on his voice. Just like RM is 300% better dancer then he used to be. Great job guys with English as a different language I think it's excellent!!

I finally got my musician friends to listen to BTS because of this Tiny Desk appearance. Being on TD means respect from your musical peers, not just fans so they were actually intrigued. They ALL talked about Jin immediately after watching the show so I laughed at your comments!
I also obsessed over Jimin's shirt to a ridiculous degree. I hope he kept it because it looked like it was made just for him, lol.
