    I would get an actual spray in bedliner, especially on a 60 some thousand dollar truck you are presumably going to be using for work. It seems very cheap to go with a bed mat on a truck that cost this much/is new.

    You always need a spray in bed liner. Anything less is just setting yourself up for dents and rust.

    • @WW-wf8tu
      @WW-wf8tu 2 года назад +8

      Don't forget the discoloration and most importantly(imo)the increased maintenance from having to remove that crap out on a regular basis to clean under it. SMH. There is a reason after many decades of various types of bed protection failures that LineX/Rhino spray in liners were created and are loved today. I mean, if they are going to do it wrong, might as well have put in a full coverage drop in hard box shell. At least that is a relatively easy remove item that is actually helping ALL of the inside of the bed.

    I’m a big fan of WeatherTech products. My 2500 came with the factory WT style mats. They’re equivalent to the older style WTs, but doubt WT makes them. I did put on the window deflectors from WT. They fit perfectly and were easy to install. I also bought mud flaps from them, but ended up with the much beefier factory flaps and sent the WTs back for a refund. Also, we have the factory bedliner. I think it’s superior to what you got from WeatherTech. Thank you for the video. Looking forward to see what adventures you have with the RAM 2500. PS, my truck, 2500 Tradesman with 6.4 L Hemi set up for 5th wheel towing. I love it.

      I have used them and hate them. So is that not a fail in your theory? I speak from personal experience at how ridiculous it was for me. The more junk you tack onto your vehicle like this, the worse it is for easy cleans. And that is just 1 aspect of failure to it from my own personal experience. ;)

    I would say money well spent if you spent your own money, but I cannot say that about every aspect of it. I understand the floor mat swap, the rear bench seat protector(no front seat protection?) and to a lesser extent the front hood bug/rock protector. However, all of it is subjective to personal bias on looks, functionality and price. And 1 constant fail everyone has already been commenting on is the LACK of proper bed protection. I think the bedliner would be a much better product if it offered protection up over the wheel wells to the side of the bed like the bottom goes to the side of the bed. It would add costs to the product of course, and how they could package it,,,,,,,. I could see the packaging being why they don’t offer that.
    If you are gonna scratch your box, you are gonna scratch the wheel well tops also!! It could hide any dents the wheel wells can get too!
    I would definitely try the product if that was offered, but, now, for the difference in cost, I still do spray in bedliner. I think it’s the best bang for the buck,,,,, even the DIY spray in kits, IF you follow every step faithfully!

    Somebody needs to explain to me why one would get this type of bed liner instead of the spray in kind. Is it just price difference and is it that significant?
    Also I'm sure they work as intended but that rear seat cover looks awful. Everything else looks great.

      Personally, I would only use a liner of this nature with a bed cap. The seat cover is meant to be used with dogs so its designed to quickly go on and come off.

      @@redtitan29 ok that makes since with a bed cap. because it doesn't seem to really protect against the weather just scratches and littles dings.
      And for the seat cover, it's function over form i get it. Just personally would keep looking for something that brought a little more form to the equation. I also don't have any pets so am aware my opinion in this doesnt really matter.

      @@timsisco3742 When it comes to the bed liner, I’d say just go get a rubber bed mat, it’s thicker, more durable, has more cushion, and stuff definitely doesn’t slide around. I picked one up that’s specific to my vehicle for $90 on Amazon.

      It’s cheaper and easier, and you can take it out if you want to go back to naked
