Chopra shouts in bold but when is questioned backs up in fine prints. For years he put his younger photos on the cover of books while claiming his methods slows down aging. Condemned materialism yet drove Porsche. After boasting levitation for long couldn't perform in public. Quietly withdrew his non-sense quantum. He is the type, who talks too much but says almost nothing.
Edit for another jab! After years of milking people of their disposable income Chopra came out with yoga CDs. He couldn't perform what he was preaching rather hired coaches to demonstrate.

Hi Dr. Grande. About 26 years ago I was going through a divorce with child care issues. Sadly, I never clued in about narcissists and their mo. I was a walking piece of toast watching all these pieces of my (what I thought was a happy) marriage. It was actually a horror show. Somehow I found a few books by Dr. Chopra, read them, and tried to put some of his teachings in front of me. Sometimes his suggestions actually worked. Now that could be that I was in magical thinking mode but nevertheless, I started to stop wishing to suicide and start to eat and return to college. I give full credit to Dr. Chopra, he gave me hope and for that I am forever grateful to him. They say take what information you want and discard the rest. I still do this practice in my work and life.. I love your show. xx

These introspection and critical thinking skills were systematically destroyed by the narcissist for his need to control you, they have returned and god bless you for that! You saved yourself YOU deserve the praise, not some random self-proclaimed guru

When I was 17, I remember reading the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. It helped me immensely at that time. I never read any other books by him though. It’s ironic that I enjoyed that book seeing as how I never really gravitated towards Deepak Chopra beyond that. I think once I realized he was hobnobbing with the stars and diplomats it may have made me question his validity. I think of spiritual gurus as living in nature somewhere off the grid and living authentically rather than attempting to achieve mainstream success by schmoozing.
Also that book was read before Oprah got a hold of him. That seems to be when he turned. I also didn’t know he charged enormous fees for this stuff. And he likely doesn’t worry about anything because he’s got $80 million. Most worries people have due to tend to be connected to finances.

I think this is the case for many of these 'gurus' who get to this level. They start out with some basic ideas that do make some sense. I too agree some of Chopras philosophies including many that this you tube guru :) demeans. However, as they become more well known and rich, making money, selling books, and becoming a "guru" become the goal and they go off the rails. When looking for spiritual or medical guidance , anyone that was pushed and made famous with assist of Oprah automatically crosses them off my list!

Depak is so right we are what we eat we can cause our health problems and we can create our illnesses including Cancer and all other diseases. We need to begin early in life and prepare our body to avoid some of the things that caused our ancestors to die. By doing this we can wipe out generational diseases and death and live longer. Keep in mind the B-complex vitamins are referred to as the sparkplugs of life. If we practice better health we can wipe out generational diseases which our elders have and march on to a healthier future.

I’ve been a meditator since the late 1970s. I feel grateful that I’ve had certain experiences such as self realization and even more than that. So I am aware about consciousness and physicality and some of the things you’re putting down. This part of what you’re saying is totally wrong and you say this only because you don’t know any difference. But on the other hand you are very correct about some of these people and I think the key here is that when great amounts of money are involved there’s always something happening that’s undesirable. Real spirituality does not involve tons of money neither does real Christianity I.e. the mega churches scamming people right and left. Real spirituality is not a self health store. Real spirituality is not a best seller book.

I searched for truth as a young woman. And I have definitely found nuggets of truth here and there, but not where I expected that truth to be. Clue: if you are reading a book on any new age or religious thought, and if it is written in English (or your own language, whatever that be), and you still find it difficult to understand or make sense of; if it is not a book on science or a complex subject that requires specialized study, ask yourself this - do I have any trouble understanding what I read elsewhere? Novels, brochures, newspapers, etc... I realized that if I could understand everything else I had read or tried to read, the problem I was running into trying to understand a new age book I picked up was not with me. To people who would ask what they can believe, I would say don't accept what people say about anything unless your life experience or reliable educational sources verify it. If it sounds magical, it probably is. Do you personally know anyone who has had the desired experience? If not, then I would say remain skeptical until facts present themselves.

Very interesting, and humorous. I find that these new wave guru’s such as Deepak Chopra and Elkhart Tolle don’t seem to do much for me as they are so vague. I can never forget watching The Great Randy work with a college class where they all submit unique information to him and he responds with a printed out answer to each individual that they believe is unique to their own issues. They all respond that his response was insightful for their unique situation. It turns our that Randy had handed each student the exact same response . I never forgot that. Your analysis is so consistent . I don’t make the claim that I know where you are going as your RUclips videos progress. Far from it. I agree with your comment, however I think it was kind of unnecessary, comparing Chopra to Tolle. What actual harm has Tolle done? He’s just an average spiritual dude. His ideas are very vague and he talks in circles, but he hasn’t promoted any medical pseudo science as far as I’m aware. He hasn’t been in any legal controversies either, like the way Sadhguru may or may not have killed his wife. Chopra is a scam artist, promoting harmful ideas about medicine while also gaining trust since he’s an endocrinologist. Now, with that said, I don’t really know all that much about any of these gurus, because I’m not interested in listening to bullshit, so take this comment with a grain of salt.

Opened my eyes back in bed, got up fairly well and went to use the bathroom then went to the kitchen and had half a sandwich and a cup of water and went back to bed. My life has not been the same. I am not delusional guaranteed. This had been confirmed. Of course I had to defend my sanity and I am still passed. "F" the entire state of Oregon. I use Reiki energy healing and hand signals and meditation and ecstatic dance and quantum healing id mt own design and it's all slowly going away. It is not "resolving itself" I shouldn't be alive and definitely shouldn't be able to run, jump, play, dance, urinate, or have a bowl movement. I was doing hand stands in the yard a couple of weeks ago. This should be impossible. I can prove all of this and like I said I have been thoroughly checked out in everything I say. It had been almost 3 years since I first declined orthopedic surgery and started getting scans and these things were discovered. I'm nowvwaiting to get some new imaging to see from the inside how much better I am. I definitely feel loads better than I used to and look so on the outside. It has been a slow and steady recovery. My medical history is posted publicly as well as my CT scans and x-rays. My tricky finger work and wild (I have no idea where they even come from) dance moves that I am not consciously choosing myself. I do not agree with gurus or culty situations, religions or gods. Just energy and my right to use my own how I like. I have no idea how you sir came to be on my RUclips algorithm because I am not interested in your opinion as I can imagine your not particularly interested in my opinion. Goodbye and have a nice day.

Dr Todd you can tell I'm sure by my comments I'm not a doctor nor a student meaning I'm not in school at this time in my life I'm 70 years old but I will tell you I was not raised to think that I can have education even though I've preached it to my children and both of them are avid readers and students that being said I've always thought psychology should be taught in high school I don't think there's much of anything taught in school at all just to hear people comment no listening to parents comment and stuff I'm talking about on other many other RUclips channels that I listen to and you know to hear all the stuff people fighting about masks or not wearing mask and the education and different things that have been brought up about what's actually in the curriculums that parents don't even know about but I just wanted to comment that I think you are awesome your sense of humor is just is perfect I've read a couple of people don't appreciate the humor in your analysis I think there are there's no human being that can be 100% unbiased but you know that's okay too as long as the goal is to attain that which I do believe that is your goal and so I've always been interested in psychology I took a semester of it that was about it I did go to some college about 2 years but it was very hit and miss but I am a student of you know just listening to other people and learning from other people I don't think anyone person ever knows it all but just the idea that psychology should be taught in high school if I knew what I knew now you know back when my kids were in school I don't know maybe I could have made a difference but I just think that we need to understand people a little bit better the kids are so unprepared for the world even mine even though I try to teach them some things about checkbooks bookkeeping like I took all that in high school up in Ohio where I did not end up graduating we moved to Texas when I was a junior in high school and that was a mess up for kids I don't think kids should ever be moved during the four years of high school cuz I was moved I went to three schools in high school it was one of those weird things that just happened but anyway I didn't get to graduate really with my friends and things like that from all that kind of stuff I didn't even attend I don't know how I got off on that but my point is is that kids are so unprepared for the world and I think psychology I think bookkeeping letting how to keep a checkbook which I realized they don't technically keep a checkbook but you still have to balance balance your money you still have to know what's in there and not in there and also investing to some degree and I don't mean taking chances but my brother just has by the grace of God become someone that again you know what things we learned at home but God blessed him with a good mind and he listened and learn from I would say elders people that he worked under he went to seminary so he worked under this other Pastor for about 9 years and this other Pastor was quite smart about making sure he had a retirement through his church and you know cuz he started the church and then when he retired he should have been able to expect a retirement it was a a church with money in the bank able to do that but a lot of the fundamental Baptist group that I come from a lot of those people don't even know how to handle money so I still say that stems from not learning at home perhaps and definitely not learning it in school I mean if you want to know physics great great wonderful you know some people are very intelligent that doesn't mean they can keep a checkbook and those are the kind of things like psychology that I think should be in high school and I mean from 9th grade on maybe even you know Middle School I mean they learn about algebra which okay for whatever good that does me but a check learning how to run a check but gave me more to go on then algebra and I know you totally understand what I'm saying but I just had to comment about the kids or not giving the right education in my opinion and psychology would be a good one in high school forget College do it in high school

Hi Dr Grande. I know this is anecdotal but I will explain anyway. I have experienced healing by a shaman. He uses sound, created by his voice to heal. My requirement for levothyroxine went from 175 mcg per day to 100 mcg per day within 2 months of this healing and has not risen again although in most women that would happen after menopause. I wasnt cured of Hashimotos but it is an astounding improvement. There is also some survey evidence that meditation and prayer, practiced daily slow ageing. I saw this for myself when surveying a convent in Windsor. The nuns all looked about 20 years younger than they actually were and some in their 70s were unusually energetic for their age, climbing onto the roof with me. There is some truth in some of Deepak's theories.

You can slow down or speed up the aging process through diet exercise, rest, mindset. So there is truth to that. There is nothing wrong in him saying that he expects to live well past 100 years of age because that can be achieved by having the right habits that you practice on a daily basis like what you put in your body, movement, and exercise, and proper rest. It is possible that someone who follows a very nutritious diet, exercise and rest to not experience colds, or get sick for long periods of time, and if they do, it so minor that it isn't something that they remember or that affects them. Dr Deepak Chopra if I am correct ran a hospital, and his work qualifies him to speak on the human body. And while I do agree that a lot of his stuff has gone woo woo, he still is qualified, and as an individual seems to be walking the talk, as he does not look like a sickly man. And a person can heel himself through his thoughts such as the well-known Norman Cousins who used laughter therapy, and mindset to overcome a diagnosis of death from cancer, that the doctors gave him. The placebo effect does have healing systems because it has been proven that whatever you believe to be true will be true for you. Those are all facts. I am not saying I agree with everything of Deepak Chopra , I am just countering the statements that you are making. You should know ,and everyone reading this should know very well that medicine does not always heal. Medicine is medicine, and does not treat the underlying cause but puts a Band-Aid more often than not, and the drugs and medicine used inevitably create toxicity within the body, and probably the need for other drugs to counter the side effects, of those drugs. It has been said in the past that improper use of Medicine or malpractice is the third, fourth, or fifth leading cause of death. We all know situations where people have been falsely diagnosed, or have been given treatments that have caused death. Anti-aging is a thing. Which is why I personally know people in their 70s that are much better in terms of their appearance and physical condition that I am and 52. And yeah we also know many people that are 79, because of a lack of care that are in a wheelchair ,or they look like they're about to die and death is knocking on their door. So the psychiatrists message on this channel is that a person is going to age, and that you should do nothing about how you age, or to prevent sickness, and that medicine is the only solution. Now remember we have a psychiatrist here who's talking about an actual trained medical doctor, but yet you are believing the psychiatrist. Think about that. Some people feel the need to believe you as well. They're listening to you and they're agreeing with everything you say as if you are the end all be all, and that whatever you say is true. Science is not absolute. Science is ever changing. And how good science is also depends on the research, who is funding the research, and are they biased, and need to achieve a certain result because of who is funding the research. We all know how the medical profession has gotten many things wrong that they call science. So science is not absolute. You psychiatrists are very well known for prescribing psychiatric medication, when the problem is not really psychiatric but diet related. So you are just as full of shit if you don't mind me saying respectfully

Several years ago, my son and I went to see him speak at a local church in the area where we lived. New age kind of church. At the end of his talk, he wanted everyone in the audience to stand and make a statement that we would never have a negative thought again. As my son and I watched in disbelief as the whole audience stood and recited the statement after him, my son and I looked at each other and said “ this is dumb.” 🤣 True story!
