Jackie Hill Perry's Witchcraft Warning About Christians, Satan, and the Occult

- Jackie Hill Perry, an author, speaker, and poet who inspired millions with her story of leaving a gay lifestyle and finding true fulfillment in Jesus, issued a warning earlier this year that Satan is trying to destroy an "entire generation of Christians with witchcraft" Perry, who is out with a new book, "Upon Waking: 60 Daily Reflections to Discover Ourselves and the God We Were Made For," made these comments in January during Passion 2023, warning about young people increasingly engaging in "witchcraft."
The author expanded on these statements during a recent interview with CBN Digital, reflecting on why she believes the church sometimes neglects to address the spiritual warfare we see detailed in Ephesians 6 - and why she so boldly tackled the issue from the Passion stage.
"Witches are bold," Perry said. "Witches are very out loud and bold about their rituals, and their altars, and the means by which they can access the spirit realm independent of Jesus, right?" Perry continued, "And you have an entire generation that is on TikTok being introduced to these powers and this ability to find strength, to find peace, to find some sort of control over their lives, over their minds, and even over others through supernatural means."
But she warned about these quests and said it's essential for Christians to talk about the issue out of love and concern for others. "We have to speak to the fact that people believe that there is power and other dimensions apart from Jesus himself," Perry said. "But Jesus came and said that you cannot worship the Father, you cannot access God if you are not doing it in spirit, by the power of the spirit, and in truth, according to God's Word."
In the end, Perry said a failure to discuss these issues means we're "leaving a lot of people lost," and implored Christians not to fear Satan. "We can't be scared of the devil," she said. "He's defeated, but we also can't be so rational that we think everything is a matter of logic and not also a spiritual reality at play." Perry said the devil is "crafty" and that believers can often improperly come to believe that what happens in churches is all "flesh and blood" when, in fact, spiritual matters could be at play.

She most definitely is. Please, brother in Christ, check your use of the word “seems” as if you doubt what you see. What is making you publicly share your use of the word “seems”? Try reading other publications God has used her to write such as “Holier Than Thou”. If nothing else she is a stuart of the word and proclaims Christ boldly.

I love how she uses scriptures to speak and affirm what she has to say i can’t wait till I have that strength in scripture in the tongue cause just listening to scripture through her talking is so fruitful.

I've been doing a bit of church shopping and found that most small churches preach truth and focus on those things eg: sin, the cross etc.. whereas some mega churches just have that prosperity gospel type of doctrine.

Amen! What sister Jackie said at 11:29 is exactly what happened when I first lay my life down at the feet of Jesus back in May 2020. I was 15 and going through a major identity crisis ✝️🥹. Jesus really saves and a verse that always reminds me of this is Psalm 18:6 “In my distress I call out to the Lord, I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice, my cry came before Him into His ear”🥺❤️🩹 . Indeed “who the Son sets free is truly free indeed”, “Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.” Romans 1:16, “ For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, because it is the power of God unto salvation for all those who believe. First to the Jew and also to the Gentile.”

Those HONEST conversations I had with the Lord is how I was finally able to see Him visible and working in my life. Trying to find my place in and trying to find how I can serve God's Kingdom are what I am "working on" at this point in my life. I never fit in anywhere I go. I now understand that I have been set apart for purpose. I still don't know what that is but He will reveal it to me.

That's why I am not satisfied in my quiet time with just a short devotional. Jackie nailed it. I am eager to see Jackie's Devo. Loved her Jude Bble study---It was intemse, thought-provoking and brilliant. It took me a loooong time to finishe the homework, but I learned a lot and was nourished by Jackie's scriptural insights and questions. She's a gifted teacher.

If I feel bothered today I request the Lords will be done but it's my desire that a thousand dark spirits bothering a situation be sent to the center of the earth. I'm currently writing a book series on various topics. Book 1 I'm going to talk about how the occult can infiltrate the church and what we can do about it. God has been leading me to write about various topics, as I've seen not just people in my generation turn to witchcraft but many other things. I wish more pastors would stand up and talk about this. It's more of a burden that God has placed in my heart because I've seen the level of idolatry going on even in the American church in particular, and what I feel that we need before we enter a massive revival is we need a massive awakening here in America because we've been so caught up in trying to bring modern-day culture into the church, or be motivating, or teach, or hype each other up. I've even seen people get so wrapped up in their calling, or gifting, or the miracles, or even prophecy that they have forgotten God who gave them all these things to the point where now even the church has become more of a social club than a place where God can move with his glory. I also think that here in America we've forgotten that church isn't a building but the people that make it, and while we're not perfect we need to be better examples of Christ to others. Fighting between each other only has caused division, and war throughout the centuries of church history, and if we don't do something God will raise someone else to take our place to accomplish his will.
Jesus spoke about Unity for good reason. Trust God to trust others, but only through the Son. Beyond that persevere in prayer, Romans 12:12?
Write about the lgbt embracing churches and how gods blessing is not among them. Any church that embraces that lifestyle are not one of his.

Sound biblical teaching. It's interesting how some of the viewers are focused on appearance and not the words she is speaking. Reminds me of the religious people who denied Jesus because he didn't come as the king they imagined. Definitely not comparing JHP to Christ but the judgement reminded of the so called believers in this chat reminded me of the religious Pharisees.

This is why so many love Jackie, in every interview where she is asked about her devotional and why she did it: first things first, it was her publishers idea, however, we know God isn't random, so thank you to the publishers for pushing her to provide material that is so much needed in today's world of growth, hope, and repentance. There are many things in scripture that many churches now skim across or avoid altogether. It's her love of Christ, her authenticity, and her dying to herself that leads one to see the character of Jesus when she speaks.
This explains part of why I stopped going to the churches I was going to, not because we should forfeit the joining together as the body of Christ, but because when we join together we must preach the word of God in spirit and in truth!!!! I'm not interested in a feel good sermon or a summary of what the word is saying. Summarization without application has many looking for churches that will feed their soul and provide them with tools to learn repentance and prayer to ward off the enemy! As usual, this is soooo good!

This is a brilliant and loving word on getting back to the basics. I love how respectful this interview was. The only area where I would “beg your pardon“ is concerning everything being spiritual. Everything is spiritual! We are spiritual beings in natural bodies. Deuteronomy 30:19 - I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your children may live. Matthew 18 - whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Stay encouraged.❤
