great, your technical proficiency at the very least deserves a lot more views. yt needs to sort their algos out. great arrangement and interpretation, may i suggest you need to post more often. ^
Surprisingly brilliant interpretation from a small channel and amazing sounding bass on that piano. its so clear and crisp, what kind is it? Also you didn't miss a single note. impressive. Great job bringing out the melody while keeping a fast tempo. 10/10 would love to hear you play Chopin and also make more songs. I wonder if you would be creative in making something like art tatum because you definitely are worthy of it
Thanks Chase for your lovely comments, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The piano was a Fazioli 7 1/2 ft. semi-grand, model F228. I'm happy to let you know I do have more Chopin Etude arrangements on my channel: there's op. 10 no. 2, which I've renamed "El Montuno", and op. 10 no. 4, "The Torrent", both also in virtuosic jazz arrangements. It was a lot of fun to do those; I used to be a classical pianist, so I practiced those etudes a lot! I thought it'd be fun to do jazz arrangements of them and add something new to their technical challenges - kind of like Godowsky did, but in a jazz style. I love Art Tatum, he was the best! I think you'll enjoy my arrangement of The Torrent, which has a bit of Tatum influence :)
We need the sheet music for this I felt like I was a part of the piano life it was moving me I was here and then just the sound the sound with something they don't think I could ever forget
Hey there, thanks! Sorry it took me a year to see this though. There is sheet music available on my website on the Shop page. Here’s the link: www.mattherskowitzpiano.com/shop Hope you enjoy learning it!
Did you compose this? It’s written and played brilliantly. Your technique is amazing and it sounds super fun. I could imagine dancing to it, but probably breaking my legs because it’s fast.
@@Stint. Thanks Stint, glad you liked it! Yes, I arranged it- it’s part of my Chopin Jazz Transcendental Etudes project. Some of them are fun, like this one, others are more serious. I just recorded a set of 9 jazz etudes last month, they should be released by the end of 2025. Lol, yeah, I’m all for dancing, go for it! - just maybe not too near the furniture!
Hi James, yes, I do have sheet music - not all complete, but this Etude is complete, including transcription of the improv. I recently recorded several Etudes for Medici tv ("Chopin - Etudes en jazz"), so you can find a bunch of them on their website, under the jazz tab, if you happen to subscribe to them. For the score(s), I have to wait a bit until the publishing aspect gets resolved, but I will contact you as soon as that's settled and let you know how to get a copy of Boogie-Woogie! Thanks for asking :)
Hello James, you can now find the score to this Etude on my website: www.mattherskowitzpiano.com. Just go to the “Shop” tab and you’ll see the scores for the Boogie-Woogie” and “El Montuno” Etudes.

Uniting phrasing and speed is extremely difficult and you do it flawlessly. You are Godowsky reincarnation
😍😍😍😍😍
En encanta
Sounds like if Kapustin, Godowsky, and Henselt had a collaboration
something went wrong mentally
