i tried everything i open the st link and verifyed the connections and the solder everything is ok then i discovered the erase thing all by myself after trying and trying and i thought it'll be annoying if i have to erase it after everytime i programmed it then i saw ur video and i told myself how idiot i am i set it on no debug x) anyways thanks u helped me
Using an St-Link v3 on an Stm32h7 board, it detected the target, I downloaded the code, but after turning off power, the CubeIDE says it can't detect the target! Something about what I downloaded during debug must be the cause, but what code could possibly prevent the target from being detected? BOOT0/1 are both pulled-low. Hopefully, setting BOOT0 = 5V will work.. but is there another way? For example, I'm reading the some St-Links have an option "connect under reset"?
@@kbltechnologies Sorry forgot to mention, yes what I flashed kept the default Trace And Debug -> Debug settings : "Serial Wire". I set (only) BOOT0=5V and did a full erase chip using ST-Link Utility. The problem was with the RCC settings flashed.. which resulted in a SystemClock_Config of HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY);
instead of HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY);
Do you also have solution for the below error? "Debugger connection lost. Shutting down..." I bought STM32F407 discovery board. when i try downloading the debugger is shutdown. Please advice.
I am stuck with such error for a long time now, still not resolved after watching what shown in this video. I am getting no Device found on target .. even when I am trying to upload program for first time. I had tried with boot 1 high(1) and connect under reset too. My stlink V2 clone is getting detected. Please it would be great help if you can give be some tip to solve this problem. Thank you!
Thanks Bro for solving this error problem. 🙏
You’re welcome bro
It worked! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, i fixed errors.
i thought my micro was broken so i changed it but it happend again.you are a life savior thank you very very much.
That's really nice
thank you from Mongolia this solved my problem thank you man i appreciate
Thank you, man! I was going to throw my STM away before I saw your video.
You're welcome ☺️
Thank you so much ,I was going to throw my board away :)
Thanks SIR, you saved my development board, STLINK/V2 and Time
Thanks man, definitely worked for me!
Thanks man, you saved my development board. Was about to order a new one :-)
You're welcome
it's really helpful, thank you so much bro
thank you bro, i was just about to throw my stm32 in the trash.
omg this problem took me so much time, thank u for thiss
Thank you! This solved my problem!
You're welcome
Good job man! Thank you!
You're welcome
Thanks a lot you saved my time
thank you. it works and helps me.

Thank you Sir,!
thanks you very much, you save my life, yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you so much!
You're welcome
Thanks bro, it worked.
You're welcome bro 👍
thank you !
What about new Microcontroller? Do we need to change BOOT mode for new microcontroller too?
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome 😁
thank you brooooo
Welcome Bro 😊

Anytime brother , thanks
Cannot connect in stm32 it saying "UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode" help please!
thanks...
good job
Thanks 👍

This is exactly same issue I elaborated in the video... Check whether by mistake you disabled the debug pins

I solved my problem by throwing the STM32 in the trash and using Arduino.

Hello. I used BOOT1 pin as a GPIO already. In this scenario, can I read/write flash even though I missed configuring debug interface?
You can either pull up or down by the hardware and you can configure boot pins according to your need
thx bro
You're welcome ☺️
"lets compile this code.. o shit"
Even if I make boot 0 and boot 1 to high (1) still I couldn't find target in ST Link Utility
Did you connect it in "connect under reset" ?
make sure that you`re installed all the drivers for stm
omg, same issue. missed choose serial wire. So, MCU is not debug. lol
Thanks For your video but I'm still getting the same issue.

Which microcontroller you are using?
It's working. Thank you so much!
