- Let's get ready to explore the LARGEST state in North America. Alaska! I'm excited to show- case some of the best places to visit while touring the great Alaskan outdoors.
There are so many places to visit and so little time. During this 10-day trip in Alaska, we covered as much as we can see during our time visiting Alaska.
I had to break this series down into 10 different videos, each covering a different day and different location in Alaska.
--------------------------------------------------------
In Day 1 of our 10 Days in Alaska, we will be visiting the city of Fairbanks, which is located along the northern aspect of Alaska's inner circle.
Flying in from Seattle to Fairbanks, I have to say the airplane ride there was magnificent! Already you have the opportunity to see the beautiful snow-cap mountains and the fjords of Alaska.
--------------------------------------------------------
Only staying for 1 day in Fairbanks. I highly recommend checking out some of the places we visisted:
The Crepery 👉👉 www.thecrepery.net/
Check out the aware winning place known as The Crepery. They are known for their succulent and flavorful, sweet, and savory crepes. Check out the wide- variety of different crepes that are made to order.
The Pumphouse Restaurant and Saloon 👉👉 pumphouse.com/
A national historic site and restaurant! If you're looking for some great tasting seafood and meat, definitely come by and check out The PumpHouse. They accept reservations so make sure to reserve your spot in order to guarantee your spot!
Cheyna Hot Springs 👉👉 chenahotsprings.com/
If you're looking for a nice place to relax and looking for a place to simply soak, definitely come by and check out Cheyna Hot Springs. They are located ~66 miles from Fairbanks, which takes about a 1 - 1.5 hour drive. The drive is very scenic and definitely well worth the drive. Prices are relatively cheap for the duration of your hot springs stay. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL! Otherwise you'll have to pay a $5 towel fee...
--------------------------------------------------------
A couple of things to mention. There are some department stores that Fairbanks supplies. They do have an REI, a Walmart Super center, as well as a Fred Meyers.
Remember, ALASKA DOES NOT HAVE A SALES TAX!

Fairbanks does not have a sales tax, North Pole does and various small communities does.
Amazing video, great work
I am born and raised in Fairbanks man, 34 and these things are basically my life man. Moose is better..
Put a sandwich bag with a little water in it with a few pennies they won’t come around you put a bag in each pocket it works to keep Mosquitoes away you can also put bags around your porch with a few pennies in them and you won’t have any around your porch either
Hi,
Did you stay overnight at Cheyna Hotsprings Resort or just visit there and drive back to stay overnight at Fairbank?
Which one would you recommend?
Thanks.
It depends on what you have planned for the next day.
We ended up driving back down to fairbanks as the next day we made reservations for our bus time at Denali National Park.
Would have been a longer drive to Denali from cheyna hotsprings.
@@letsexplorelife927 Just finished watching day 1-5 of your Alaska 10-day trip but can't find day 6-10 on your channel.
Could you tell me about the itinerary for day 6-10?
I also have about 10 days for my Alaska trip.
Thank you.
Yea I ended up not finish8ng those videos but will eventually get to it.
As far as what we did not sure where I left off but basically Anchorage to seaward. Did some stiff there like hikes them seaward back to Anchorage and eventually making our way to Valdez and back to fairbanks.
@@letsexplorelife927 Thanks. Looking forward to the remaining 5 days.
Speedy out there, I’ve heard that it is slowly wearing down due to the heavy volume of visitors.
What side of the plane do I want to be on flying from Seattle to Alaska? For the best views out the window.
Honestly can't go wrong with both sides. You'll likely be flying in between the mountains but I'd say the left side would be best.
@@letsexplorelife927 Thank you :)
What month did you visit Fairbanks?
This was around the first week of July. By then summer is in full and prepare for the mosquitos
