As a 6th grader I watched Michigan State vs Indiana State and some media criticize the slam dunking, “alley-ooping” Spartans after they thumped Bird and the Sycamores. I was in middle school and high school as John Thompson and the Georgetown Hoyas ascended and the media being offended not only by their style, but also by the fact that his players were graduating. I love the fact that Mulkey lets her players be themselves and I also watched Kim when she played at Louisiana Tech. She played with flare and style, much like she coaches now. In the military there’s a saying “an opinion is like your backside everyone’s got one”. As we use to say in my native North Jersey “This is a you problem not a me problem”
@Eric Dawson. Thompson had a 97% graduation rate which is impressive. I will admit there were outliers. Iverson, Victor Page, Michael Graham and Anthony Jones for example. But there were many more success stories and not just players who played in the NBA.

No, LSU won cause the Referees made sure with the fouls on Clark and the other 2 seniors that they weren't on the floor the entire game, so they could score. When you have the 3 main scoring players on a team in foul trouble, sitting on the bench, yes the other team has the advantage.Even with 2 seniors with 4 fouls and Clark with 3, they still cut lead by 9 points, then Clark is hot with technical foul. 2 seniors foul out ,spend last 3:26 on bench. So yeah, it was done decided before the game that Iowa wasn't going to win. Referees made sure of that.

Players talk trash before, during, and even after a game during the middle of a series. BUT when you’re at a CHAMPIONSHIP game, much like a championship boxing game or any other sport where one team is clearly the winner of a season, you DON’T CHASE your opponent around and disrespect them. No, LSU won cause the Referees made sure with the fouls on Clark and the other 2 seniors that they weren't on the floor the entire game, so they could score. When you have the 3 main scoring players on a team in foul trouble, sitting on the bench, yes the other team has the advantage.Even with 2 seniors with 4 fouls and Clark with 3, they still cut lead by 9 points, then Clark is hot with technical foul. 2 seniors foul out ,spend last 3:26 on bench. So yeah, it was done decided before the game that Iowa wasn't going to win. Referees made sure of that.

The issue ISN’T RACISM, black or white, or trash talking. If there had to be an issue then it was Reese’s TIMING. Trash talking is a part of a lot of games. Players talk trash before, during, and even after a game during the middle of a series. BUT when you’re at a CHAMPIONSHIP game, much like a championship boxing game or any other sport where one team is clearly the winner of a season, you DON’T CHASE your opponent around and disrespect them. Reese could’ve trash talked all she wanted before and during this game which would’ve been fair. It was CLASSLESS when she chased her around at the end of a championship game!

I'm glad they didn't do this, but if this had happened in the men's game, I could easily see them calling a tech. Not just for the taunt itself, but for the way it was done. Following an opposed player with the taunt. In fact I'm 95% sure that if it were in a men's game a tech would've been called just for the following of a player to taunt alone, if just the taunt itself wouldn't be a tech. You ask me they gave the women leniency when compared to the guys. Someone tell me when a guy has been able to follow an opposed player to taunt them without getting a tech.
