Ooooo subbed to hear more about the following episodes! I've forgotten a lot of from the books but they changed a lot of the stuff I did remember and was looking forward to seeing. Curious to see your comparison of what happens in the books vs the episode to remind me of what they changed. I'm not looking forward to a season 3 now because they changed so much. Season 1 was so much better! Maybe because it had more Ben Barnes and Alina together plus better development for them both. This season doesn't seem to have much in the form of development for Alina except in the end. Also I had totally forgotten that Sturmhond had different features that Alina noticed which make the reveal later more obvious. Also, why the Darkling didn't recognise him when hiring his ship and crew to go look for the Sea Whip. Also, if its a Sea Whip why is it caught hiding in a cave on an island. Made no sense. Maybe a battle at open sea was too expensive CGI wise.
You have a good point about character development of lack there of this season! They are trying to pack a lot in since they are covering two books instead of one like they did in season 1. I've heard some of the major changes they made at the end, which will definitely make season 3 interesting if the show is renewed.
I liked the cave aspect but didn’t think it was odd that Elena mention not wanting to kill it and then ended up being the one to kill it also wondered why she waited use her magic when it was killing the crew and I think your plan was just to try to take it to power without killing it like she was going to do with the stag before Keurig and killed it. Get the Raiders chose to make the amplifiers in bed into the skin because it’s just more creepy that way. I hadn’t necessarily put together that it was only there second time on the ship since I haven’t read the books I guess I assumed she knew where she was going maybe Mell told her about the course because he was tracking the sea wip but who knows
Yeah it would have been nice if they could take the scales for an amplifier without killing it. I would have loved to see an attempt like that play out a little bit more in the show
I plan on making a video for each episode! They take some time to make, so it might be a couple weeks before I get all 8 finished. But they are coming! Unfortunately Dominik dies at 16 years old while fighting in the army. He only shows up in a flashback in the books because his death happens before the story in the books begins.
