Great concept. The speed at which yo play your licks is intimidating, and as I am nowhere near your speed or accuracy, scares me away from trying this stuff
Thanks for watching, Neil! Something Steve says pretty often goes something like "if you want to speed up, slow down." What that means is, if there's something that's too fast for you to play, slow down and work through the movements step by step. Play it slowly until it's comfortable, then gradually speed up until you're playing it at the speed you want to play it. Think about it: when you try to play something you've never played before, your brain is asking your hand and fingers to do movements that they've never done before. And on top of that, if your brain is yelling "go faster!" at your hand, and your hand doesn't know what to do... it's gonna stress you out. :-) So, instead of that, slow down and focus on learning the movements of playing something step by step. And don't worry about playing faster until you can play it comfortably. Hope this helps! :-) Just wanted to give a heads-up about the GuitarZoom Black Friday Sale… Right now, you can get the Music Theory For Life Black Friday Bundle 60%-off the regular price, plus some awesome bonuses. Hi. I usually get the sound from a Kemper profiler. (Amp simulator). I cut the low freq. just a notch and boost the high freq also just slightly. Mids are pretty much in the center. Hope this helps!
Hi thanks for the comment. This video lesson is taken from a complete Improvisation course at www.guitarzoom.com so I can't upload the backing track here on YT, however this progression is basically Em - D - C - D each chord lasting 2 measures at 130bpm. If you have a looper you can record this with the guitar and use it as backing track or you can practice it with a friend. Hope this helps.

Hi. If you mean a video with just the backing track, I'm sorry but I don't have it. However here's a link to an online chord generator where you can build your own backing track. The tempo is about 115 bpm and the chord sequence is: Em - Em - D - D - C - C - D - D. Try it out, it works pretty well. Here's the link. www.musicca.com/chord-player
