Name of the transmission please? Could you please help me find the name or number of the gearbox behind the DL engines in v58s and v57? is it a daihatsu unit or a toyota unit? my daihatsu delta which is gasoline not diesel have the same transmission behind DL engines and shockingly the motor is a toyota 4y, But i can not confirm if the gearbox is a toyota or daihatsu and what is the name or part number of it. So i can look up service manual for it and spare parts catalog for it. If you could share any information it will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
We only know that this gearbox is Daihatsu made, not sure about exact parts number. Since lots of Toyota & Daihatsu trucks cross use spare part. Example: Daihatsu DV99 use Toyota B-Series Engines which same as Toyota Dyna, even door assy can be cross used in Daihatsu & Toyota Trucks. I suggest you to use the old-school way, to compare your part with your part shop, not only referencing with parts catalog or parts number. Most of the time, these outdated trucks have no detailed documentations to be referenced. Use the traditional way such as comparing clutch shaft, size of gearbox, gearbox housing and I think will help you.
Buena máquina el Daihatsu delta
