I just got back into Merlin recently and reawakened my love for Gwaine, and oh my god this is absolutely perfect?? I'm still incredibly salty that Gwaine got barely any screentime in the last two seasons. He, Merlin, and Arthur were such a good trio and I wish the show had had more episodes focused on the three of them. Obviously, I absolutely love this. I can't believe how perfect the song is for the three of them.
Me too, and god, I so love them that sometimes I hate the writers for what they did to this great storyline with the 'courage-strength-magic' trio...I mean, why to introduce it to us if it ended like this, they didn't develop it any further, and, if I remember it correctly, was never mentioned after this ep. And, crap, that ending, so sad, but ok, we know Arthur is supposed to return and Merlin is immortal, it is their destiny to be together again, I get that, but Gwaine, really? He deserved better, I can't believe they let him to die and to think that he failed Arthur....I can't actually accept that, so my head canon is that he survived (with no actual funeral, and considering he's Strength after all, if someone would have been able to survive the torture of that snake it would have been him, and of course he was strong enough to survive it ;) and was reunited with Merlin. I just can't accept any other options 😢😢😅

"i hope you find what youre looking for"?? the sync of arthur with his back turned showing his progression through the series?? im going insane . i cannot stop watching this .

(I'm another recent Merlin fan - discovered it in November, got hooked in December, and took a deep dive into the many wonderful fanfiction stories - Gwaine is my favorite character.)

This is incredibly well done! Like, the cuts are so perfectly on beat and the little pieces of dialogue add so much to it. Also... I've now seen quite a lot of versions of this song made for different franchises, and this is definitely the most fitting one so far

I have a bit of a request...I've been dying to see someone do a merlin video to the song two of us- Louis Tomlinson and I think you'd be perfect to do it. Especially with a voice over for the part where he says " written in our DNA" I think them saying "our destiny" from the show would be even better
