Got the Cobb catback and the quality was exceptional. muffler/tip location was dead on. Just had to determine how far out I wanted the tips to stick out. Doesnt backfire excessively like this one but I know some people actually prefer that sound. If you like the pops and rasp, delete the 2nd cat and resonator and get a high flow j pipe/intermediate. If you like deep, non ricey sound get a high flow cat j pipe/intermediate , catback with resonator and mufflers. The larger the muffler/resonator the more quite it will be.
I’m looking at getting a cat back soon to replace the axleback. I personally really like the pops and bangs, is your catback valved? I was looking at those for the valve purpose cause the drone gets a little crazy when I’m tired.
I was actually deciding between aeroflow and remark and came to aeroflow cause it was slightly cheaper and I also figured it would sound very similar. Rn aeroflow is having their summer sale and the AxleBack is 340ish
Thanks! It’s from aeroflowdynamics. It wobbles a bit but that’s going to happen with most plastic wings. They sell struts that support the middle to reduce that.
Do you need to take the O ring out on the Y Pipe? I just installed mine today and I took the O ring out. is that good or bad? it's my first time installing an axle back. Thank you!
Yeah in this video we didn’t have enough time to properly fix it, but we did fix it off camera. The main thing to keep in mind when putting on the pipe is to have someone help hold it up to where you want it and then screw it in so it doesn’t sag.
The drone is all personal preference and type of driving u do imo, the only times it got annoying for me was on a 10 hour roadtrip. The part wasn’t that expensive tho if u r looking to buy an axleback instead of going to a shop I got it with a good discount
Love it! Enjoy guys!!
Looks sick I have bay tag and rally blue on mine! Got it yesterday.

Nice upgrade
Thanks loving it and was definitely a much needed upgrade
Looks awesome ❤️🔥
Thanks!
sounds amazing. I'm getting the Boso muffler delete from Remark. i would imagine it sounds pretty much the same.

@@probooljust bought the AFD one based on the black tips, and was pleasantly surprised at a steep discount+free shipping. Can’t wait to put them on
Also I do think they will sound basically exactly the same. The diameter of both pipes is the same.
Sounds good. I got ets axle back and it sound pretry similar.
Thank you thank you. The ets one is good too, I think most of them sounded similar imo
delete the resonator on the up pipe also and it will sound much better and the pops are crunchier...
Do you have a video showing the sound?
@@tickytock2853 not anymore.. i bought the afd up pipe…. I had to re wield it back for inspection
I have this one. Its drone is overwhelming at times tho
I agree, I took a 9 hour trip and when I got tired it got annoying
@@probool supposedly it's much better with a resonated midpipe.
Nice STI Wing where did you get it from ?

I believe we also took the o ring off, but the exhaust I got came with a new pair to replace it with.
Waiting on my exhaust to come in, I gotta stop watching these videos, it’s making me impatient 😂
How do you guys make it pop so much? everythings stock right? besides the axel back?
Yep wrx pops a lot with just axleback
@@proboolbut it was popping with the stock one on too?
The cars completely stock?
@@Quez-4prez other than the axle back, the car is bone stock and under warranty. The WRX pops at high RPMs from factory
What RPM when shifting for pops?
I’ve noticed anywhere from 5,000 rpm to redline shifts gets you those pops. With the axleback sometimes it’ll pop it you let the rpm slowly go down
that left one still looks low...

Just go to a muffler shop and save money, all you are doing is deleting the muffler, any 4” pipe will do the same. Also, the drone will be unbearable.
