Just donated, worked perfectly! Very cool project Sean.
Would be interested to see some of the planning that goes into figuring out the solar wattage required etc.
Do you guys prefer these longer videos where I show more of the builds and how they work? Or the shorter ones to music? Let me know.
longer the better. I like seeing the whole process
Longer videos 👍
Longer; and musicless. If I'm bored I can skip ahead; if I need music I can play some; and with your videos usually neither are the case anyways! :D
Would love to see some more kicad instruction videos.
longer for sure. cool projects deserve the extra time :) ;)
Wow... what a fun and creative project! The breadth and depth of your skills never ceases to amaze me -- you make it all look so easy! Bravo!
This is really cool.
Happy to see another video from you.
Nice work, I subbed. Great to see another builder using Kicad! Cheers :)
Great video! I love the details!
Great project Sean!
I’m in for longer, great build.
It's a really nice project, congrats! Btw what are you using to design gears?
Sean Hodgins Returns 🤩
Hey bro great work! I made something similar but at a much smaller scale for dropping treats for my parrots and love this! I’m curious if you ever made a tutorial or could share the LED that pulls info from twitch and displays it on the panel. I kind of understand it but got lost when it gets to google sheets. It would much appreciated if you could explain how that’s done to display donos or subs or bits on a LED panel. Thank you!!
10:45 stealing this. Great Build!
I thought that was kind of clever, I want to build some work benches using this, so they can be disassembled.
that's what I call an educational content. It would be fantastic if this channel had so much more views and subscribers. A question, Sean: will you make a q&a video in the future?
Thanks! Working on the subs :). Yeah I will probably do a Q&A livestream at some point soon. Meant to do it at 20K but had too much on the go.
I might have missed it, but where did you get the LED panels?
Nice!!!
Two things:
1) Which CAD software do you use for the 3D printing stuff?
2) When going thru code, can you please zoom in so its legible on mobile phone screens too
1)Fusion 360
2)Good point, I will do that.
Awesome project. how much does it cost per month to run on lte? also, what modem was used? thanks!
Where I could find the whole instruction on how to make it? I want to do something similar for rabbits at home but I'm only learning. not sure where to start
Is that a duckbutt on the pi hat when you showed it off?
It looked like a chicken to me 😀
Hi! I liked your project! What software did you use for modelling the parts for dispensing (min1:07) ??
Fusion 360
Looks like Fusion 360 to me.
SeanHodgins Thanks a lot! My daughters and me enjoyed the video. They liked the LED and the chickens!
Hi Sean, great video.
At 14:00, "A bigger battery will charge more"???
The bigger battery will store more energy, but the PV panels will still be charging the same amount of energy.
Some more input about the solar charger and how you calculated the wattage needed would help.
Even splitting the video to two parts would have been good.
The small battery goes "Full" way too fast, so the charge controller has to waste power. The panel will produce 1A but if the battery doesn't charge because it can't take anymore, then all of that 1A has to be dissipated. If you have a few days of cloudy, the small battery will run out, where as a larger batter has longer storage, then during a sunny day, will be able to charge with the 1A much longer.
I open the website and i cant see a stream. Is it possible to repair it?
Do you sell these at all?
the only step thats missing is how you connected the pi to twitch and how that triggers the pi. can you please make a video explaining this. thanks.
You can just query Twitch’s API every x seconds
@@MidStomp can you explain this for youtube, how do I get the api for youtube?
Ok man, that's fucking brilliant!
Sound recording !!!
Checking this out now, this is really awesome. However the connection is dropping here and there. Are you on mobile network? You might be getting de-prioritized. Companies like unlimited IRL can get grandfathered unrestricted plans so that doesn't happen. A lot of IRL streamers use them, as well as you can stream to a RTMP server that way the stream doesn't end, it goes to a lost connection scene. Are there plans for audio or the ability to manipulate the angle of the IP cam? What about an HDMI camera for better quality, I've seen this Auvidea board that will take HDMI to the CSI-2 camera port. auvidea.eu/product-category/csi2bridge/hdmi2csi/ But you'd probably need a wired connection since you need more bandwidth/bitrate. Hope it helps, very cool. Take care
Thanks! Ill pass along the info. Nate @ sweetfarm thinks the connection for the LTE is spotty when it gets foggy.
