Subtle thing I like, Stolas has intimidated most characters we've seen thus far just from his presence or power alone. Yet here he is so uneasy being around Asmodeus since Stolas is a lesser demon prince. As opposed to Asmodeus who is a demon lord of one of the circles of hell, so suffice it to say he is way more powerful than Stolas
It looked like Blitzo was waiting for Stolas to stand up for him like he did with D.H.O.R.K.S. But between being outclassed by Asmodeus and caught off-guard by the mentioning of how much his actions have hurt his family, Stolas couldn't do that and Blitzo felt betrayed. Millie bashed Ozzie's favorite performer over the head for her hubby but Stolas just kept his head down. That's got to sting.
Tbh we don’t see him purposely intimidate unless it’s the last episode with the D.H.O.R.K.S or a bit this episode when he got upset about the bouncer not letting them in.
First time we also saw Stolas embarrassed when Osmodeus called him out for giving up his family to sleep with a lowly imp.
Both Blitz and Stolas got it pretty bad this episode.
Yea... I find it kinda like Genie vs Jafar in Aladdin 2... Genie was the most powerful character in the 1st movie... and he was tossed around like a toy in the second one. Kinda gave me those vibes there.
When they visited the Wrath Ring, everyone seemed to be an imp. Now when we visit the Lust Ring, they seem to be mostly the sucubi and incubi. Curious if there is ring filled with Hellhounds.
Maybe Pride or Gluttony. I hope its Gluttony as wolves in most fiction are known for their unending hunger. Pride could work though but i like gluttony more for it tbh.
From my understanding, Hellhounds are below even imps in terms of social structure, so my bet is they're common among all rings and don't have a particular one of their own. Unless maybe Sloth. Tex and Loona do seem kinda lazy, lol.
Hellhounds are like pets even to IMPs so I don’t think they even GET their own ring unfortunately maybe there’s some kind of center where IMPS and other demons can adopt hellhounds?

Honestly, the Stolaz thing in this chapter was sad but the one I feel most sorry for is Blitzo. Just think about it, the guy is totally terrified of having more intimate relationships with others, his way of relating to his employees is basically annoying them. Even so, he has shown that when they are attacking Moxy, Millie or Loona, he tries to defend them even if it brings problems for him.
We already know that he is scared to really relate to others, failed relationships that ended with people hating him and he doesn't know how to act in the case of a possible closer relationship. He pretends that he doesn't care and even so when he has been rejected by his "employees", it is seen that he felt hurt and seems to envy what Moxi and Millie have.
In this chapter we saw how he spoke to defend them in front of the crowd, in response he was only humiliated by his ex and his childhood friend. When Asmodeus annoyed Stolaz, Blitzo seemed to expect an answer from him, but Stolaz covered his face in shame and avoiding everything. Basically he was able to speak in defense of Millie and Moxie, but when the center of attention was him, no one spoke in his defense, within his already distorted perspective, he could easily have felt that no one really cared for him.
He also expressed feeling passed over by Stolaz who previously only referred to him in a sexual way, when he expected something from him, he did not receive what he expected (neither can we blame Stolaz, his situation is very difficult too). So when Stolaz tried to get closer to the end again, Blitzo decided to quit. In addition to something curious that reaffirms Blitzo's feeling confused about relationships, with him fear of having them but wanting to have them in some way, he still has photos of Verosika and Fizzarolli on his cell phone, he has not deleted them.
For worse confirmation of his fears, the episode ends with him crying all alone.
This episode is when Stolaz finally calls him "Blitz", not Blitzy or some such

blitz has to leech off m&m’s relationship because he’s too scared to let himself open up 💔
He obviously wants what they have. But last episode showed he's afraid of commitment.....but also afraid of being alone. Blitzo really is his own worst enemy.
And that he wants what Millie and Moxxie have, he wants a stable and happy relationship but he’s scared of opening himself up with others which is why he pushes them away all the time.
I don’t know if you guys noticed but Fizzorolli’s Microphone was a butt plug lol
TLDR, rambling about Blitzo's problems
Two things I picked up about Blitzo:
1, my boy absolutely hates himself. He will explicitly say he thinks no one loves him and his photos of him with others have him scribbled out, almost as if he believes that he doesn't get to be happy with other people. He also pretty obviously lives through Millie and Moxxie with how much he spies on them and desires to be around them in their most lovey dovey times.
2, Blitzo fucked up a relationship at a really young age. He starts crying when he gets to the picture of him and his family (sans his dad) but before that shows pictures with the real Fizzarolli (with his background as a clown, that's likely the relationship he fucked up right after), before that is him with Verosika (who he genuinely seemed to be somewhat happy with), then it's Loona getting adopted (a relationship he's currently fucking up), then Moxxie and Millie (another relationship he's kinda fucking up, it's debatable after Truth Seekers), and then Stolas and Blitzo in bed (where Blitzo has a smile on his face). I do believe that Blitzo loves Stolas. I think Blitzo wants Stolas to love him back. I think Blitzo is afraid that Stolas will stop loving him back and run when hard times come. So, with all the other fucked up relationships behind him, Blitzo keeps Stolas at a distance. "Don't act like what we have is anything more than you wanting me to fuck you," is not just something he's saying to Stolas. He's saying that to himself, trying to make himself believe that Stolas and him are just fuck buddies. I don't think Blitzo is just a toxic person, I think he could be legitimately traumatized by something that happened when he was younger and in pain from whatever caused him and his sister to lose contact, whatever caused him to break away from being in the circus. He wants love, obviously, but something about that closeness scares him and I don't see him getting over it any time soon. I really wish we could know what happened between the ending of Truth Seekers and this episode because Stolas acts like he and Blitzo haven't talked in forever but the end of Truth Seekers and Stolas' Instagram showed them doing decently well. Gosh, the season finale part 2 cannot come fast enough.
I just realized Stolas called Blitzo Blitzy Everytime they talk but this one time he actually called him Blitz instead. Stolas is reaching the max because he is actually hurt when blitzo said no this time but before didn’t he play it off??
He actually thought, when Blitzo asked him to the club, that he was showing interest for the first time. He got his hopes up for a closer relationship, and then was shot down, so he gave up.
Dude initiated a date and didn’t even try to seem interested lol

@@celestinenox well Stolas did start it lol he’s the one who proposed the deal for the book and then never communicated wanting more. He’s only ever been sexual with Blitz. This episode is the first time he’s been genuine and it’s not hard to see why Blitz sees it as a front for sex. Not saying that Blitz is innocent and didn’t use Stolas, but Stolas is not innocent either. He is definitely at fault for making Blitz feel like a plaything. Even called him one in the last episode.
"Sounds like beetlejuice" yes, it indeed does :D Fizz' voice actor is the voice of beetlejuice on broadway, same goes for asmodeus' va, he's most famous for his performance as the genie from aladin.
Honestly, if someone were to adapt the Cats musical into a truly animated movie, I would FOR SURE cast Ozzie's VA as the Rum Tum Tugger

That being said, i really hope she's already planning season 2 or is already in production of it. It would be a shame if the next episode would be the final finale. Although it would leave room for a fan-expanded universe (like scott did with fnaf), i don't theres a way that could do it justice at this point.

I love Stolas, he's absolutely my favorite character both for character reasons and personality/looks reasons but Verosika in this episode....she could step on me and I'd buy her a drink as thanks. Also, Ozzie and Fizz were adorable. They're like what I'd imagine Blitzo and Stolas could be, kinky but cute
Funny enough I think Blitzo took the embarrassment hard because he’s always been made fun of for his quirks. He doesn’t take well to them. As much as physical pain hurts, the mental anguish he goes through is so much more. Like in the last episode, he tries to block out stuff, but he can’t. He feels more like a toy to Stolas than an actual boyfriend. I feel bad for Stolas because he was used but also it’s kinda on him to set the rules and boundaries. He’s made it clear that he and Blitzo just fuck and move on. If he wanted more than just sex, I think Blitzo would love that. But it feels more like a relationship built on lust is complicated when feelings get involved because clear communication is something needed to make it work.
But he’s invited Blitz to spend time with him outside of just having sex not once, but twice. First at LooLoo Land, and then again at the Harvest Festival. To me, at least, Blitz seems to be the one reinforcing the fact that they’re just having sex and no feelings are involved. Even at D.H.O.R.K.S, after they were saved, Blitz was the one who brought up having sex as a thank you. All stolas asked for was a ‘thanks’. I do agree that there’s so much miscommunication between them though

Stolas is a bit naive and childlike he's a complete shut-in, Blitz has taken advantage of him from day one while Stolas has actually latched on and discovered something about himself he actually likes. Stolas has lived a life of expectancy he doesn't live in the same world as everyone else he's a sheltered prince.
As others have pointed out Stolas has made some attempts to take the relationship further than sex here and there. Both need to communicate but both really suck at it. And while Blitzø does long for a deeper relationship, at the moment he hates himself and thinks of himself as unworthy of that type of connection. He's afraid of getting that close to someone and getting hurt so he always self-sabotages and pushes them away before they can leave him on their own.
Also if I recall correctly the fizzarolli is voiced by the beetlejuice voice actor from the musical version! So you were pretty dead on saying he sounded like beetlejuice!
I remember for sure that Robo Fizz was. I assume Real Fizz has the same VA but I haven't confirmed.

Awestruck all the way to the end. Stolas and Blitz’s relationship were more displayed yet so sad 😞 both needs love, purely. But Blitz desires more of “family caring”. Tilla in my opinion is the older sister that takes care her siblings like a parent OR she is mom.

I've watched this episode three times and then two times now in reactions and each time Asmodeus and Fizzarolli make me smile and laugh and Stolas and Blitzo make me cry and wanna give them hugs. It's not a perfect 1:1 but Asmo and Fizz are almost what Stolas and Blitzo could be like if they worked through their problems (the biggest reason I say that is actually more cause of the size differences between Asmo and Stolas and Fizz and Blitzo)

Watching Stolas get so excited because Blitzo called, get dressed up and got flustered when Blitzo said it was an overkill, or when he scrambled to get Blitzo's attention with a conversation... Those scenes fucking SQUEEEEZED MY HEART INTO PULP
A very powerful episode. Really invokes the heart for our cast of characters.
From what I have seen and heard I think it works like this.
Pride - Sinners
Wrath - Imps
Lust - Incubi and Succubi
Looking at the pictures on his phone, it looked like Blitzo and Fizzirolli used to be really good childhood friends.
You should try to see things from another side, Blitz has really bad trust/relationship issues and hides that with his rough and toxic personality. Him trying to shove himself into the stuff Mil & Mox are planning is trying to feel like he is a part of what they have. When you take a close look at the scene where he gets home you can see that he removed himself out of every picture on the wall, because he doesn't think he is worth enough. Him beeing more rude to Stolas then before is another sign of that. After Ozzie and Fiz tried to sh** on Mil's & Mox's relationship he tried to defend them because he genuinely cares for them, then got ganged up and humiliated by the entire "audience". Stolas using Blitz for pleasure is the only thing making sense to him, because why the hell would demon royalty have feelings for an imp (the lowest class of civillian in hell). He is to insecure or heartbroken to believe that Stolas has real feelings for him.
I know that doesn't make it ok in any way how he behave's, but maybe it kinda lightens your opinion on him.
(Plus the last pic on his phone is his sister, his mother and himself, judging by his reaction there is some traumatic experience linked to them aswell)
I think this teaches that there's more underneath Blitz than the surface. In the last episode, we learn that Blitz does want intimacy but is afraid of growing too attached to lose it, also known as "Fear of Intimacy", and that's quite common really. In this episode, we see Blitz looking through pictures on his phone, and the thing that got him crying is an old photo of him with his family. Perhaps something traumatizing happened in his past with his family that makes Blitz too afraid of letting Stolas in, maybe Blitz screwed up something and that's why we almost NEVER see anything about his family except cameo pictures on the wall and the photo on his phone. I think Blitz might truly care for Stolas but he's afraid of losing him after becoming attached.
Also funfact: The voice of Asmodeus is the same actor who did Vortex from the spring broken episode..James Monroe Iglehart. He was also Genie from the Broadway production of Alladin. So he's a pretty good singer/actor
I feel for blitz too. Just about every episode something from his past is thrown back at him and this one it was all at once Verosika, Fizz, assumed to be stolas' plaything, and even him being an imp which seems to carry class and/or racial animosity in this universe (described most in episode 5). Sure he's an asshole in basically every sense of the word, but I can still feel for the guy when this much comes back to bite him all at once.

After watching the episode a few times and during the first viewing I definitely felt bad for Stolas and I still do.
But at least from how things went it's very much Stolas' fault for Blitz's hard rejection at the end.
Blitz called Stolas as a means to an end to get into the club. Basically the same way Stolas has treated Blitz in the past by making him his booty call.
Sure Stolas seems to really like Blitz but I can see with Blitz's self loathing and being too trapped in his own mind for him to completely miss the signals.
Nonetheless in the beginning of the "date" Blitz mostly ignores Stolas in order to check on Moxxi and Millie but then at least from his expression gets caught off guard when Stolas seems to take an interest in his work and personal life. Only then to get interrupted by Asmodeus and Fizzarolli.
With Blitz already having a very bad opinion of himself. Which is underlined by the pictures in his home where he painted over his face in all the group images. So at the part where Asmodeus is calling out Stolas for giving up on his wife in order to be with Blitz Stolas hides his face behind the menu as Blitz is watching him. Seeing Stolas being embarrassed because of him is basically a dagger to the heart and just strengthens Blitz's believes that Stolas just wants him for Sex. Which we as the audience know is not true. And when Stolas is outside the car asking Blitz to spend more time together Blitz just sees that as pretense to be used as a sex toy.
It's definitely not a pretty situation.
I assume Blitz and Stolas want the same thing but are unable to communicate that at all. So Blitz his living his needs and wants through Moxxi and Millie.
This episode truly was my favorite it's so good, each episode tops the last!
I think this episode was the best reminder that this is Hell, people are not happy here. They torture each other.
Someone in another video pointed out something that not a lot of people get. When the bashing of Stolas goes on, instead of fighting for his guy, he hides the fact that he's embarrassed by covering up and not saying anything. Putting yourself in Blitzo's shoes, if you were starting to feel for someone, only to find out that they can't express themselves in public, you would think you're just being used as a "play thing" like he likes to put it. The van scene has more going on that most people catch. People like Blitzo, who we've seen having trust issues on a severe case (the agent episode) need more than just sexual validation. Stolas really dropped the ball if he was trying to get Blizo to see him as more. You can't say "oh, he was intimidated" because M&M didn't give 2 shits that they were in a demon lord's establishment, and they're just imps!
Just wanted to leave a comment here as to appreciate your assessment, and add my 2 cents out of boredom ;)
Dysfunctionality seldom appears out of thin air. Many people get hung up on singular aspects of characters, whether positive or negative and lose the whole picture in the process.
It is obvious that Blitz wants to be in a relationship, but is just emotionally wrecked. His own experience with relationships then reinforced his cynical perspective, yet he can't control his compulsions such as leaving M&M alone. While also pushing everyone away, due to his ego being incredibly frail. He really wants what they have. But also struggles admitting it to himself while being incapable of opening up.
Stolas is in a comparable spot, concerning emotional maturity, though his upbringing as a posh and spoiled royal demon also clouds his view.
They really gave these characters "human" depth.
Did anyone else notice that the microphone in Ozzie's club was a vibrator.
13:31 When Stolas hid his face, that proved to Blitzø that he wasn't worth living, hence his disappointment coming up in a few seconds.
For as much as Ozzy and Fissrolry were putting Moxie down they have the same relationship as them.

Blitzo wants to not be alone, but he more than anything wants a family. It's why he adopted Loona, a nearly 18 year old girl, for the sole reason of she was LIKELY the only person he COULD adopt since... well almost 18. The issue also comes in where he may want intimacy and closeness.... But he's also terrified of it at the same time. He harasses and watches Moxxie and Millie... Out of a genuine sense of longing, and jealously and envy most likely playing a huge part too. Here they are, the epitome of a happy couple in love, married and the passion being there and strong... And there he is... Alone. He doesn't think he can be loved, yet he WANTS to be loved desperately, so he acts like an asshole when things get too serious, purposefully sabotaging his relationships, as seen with Verosika, to where they HATE HIS GUTS because if he pushes them away first then they can't hurt him.
Blitzo does not show it at all. But he does give a fuck about Stolas. When Asmodeus sait that stolas gave is life away because of Blitzo, we can see that Blitzo feel really bad about that.
Everything around Blitzo always falls appart. We know his sis' is in reab'

He used to be friend with Fizzaroli when they were child (we can see the pic) and now he hate him
So... I think that he doesn't want to get closer to Stolas because he doesn't want to hurt him, or to be hurt again. But he is doing the opposite...
And I think that this is why he is so obssessed with Millie and Moxxie. They are the only exemple of a stable relationship he have, so he want to understand, and he is jealous

its so interesting how fast people empathize with Stolas who has never expressed wanting anything but sex from Blitzø lol. Also it sucks you missed a lot of world building from the photos on Blitzø's wall- photos of all his loved ones with him scratched out. As well as the photos on his phone that show all the people that impacted his life (including a photo he took when Stolas was asleep where hes clearly love drunk. He just thinks Stolas sees him as a play thing, and sees himself as unlovable.
He leeches off M&M because they have true sweet love and he thinks being near them is the only way he will ever get close to "love" since he is unlovable. Doesn't excuse his behavior but it IS a different story to remember that when he invited Stolas it was a lot closer to inviting a fk-buddy out to a club, one that you have an agreement that things are JUST business between you. He probably thought at most that he would owe Stolas sex after the club, not that it was any sort of romantic trip.
Fizzaroli is actually voiced by the actor who plays Beatlejuice in the Broadway show
such a good episode. it not only showed us more of Blitzo's more vulnerable since he wants to be more than just "the boss" or "plaything" and actually be a part of a family in a sense, but it also shows different "love" that happens not just in the series but in real life: the relationships that are more... physical, the true love and the love just confused on what it wants, most likely out of fear of their peers or themselves. I am actually curious how the Part 2 of this season Finale will go and how the relationship with Stolas and Blitzo will go.

The clown is played by the guy who plays Beetlejuice in the broadway show. So he is the next best thing to the original actor.
Blitz is incredibly lonely and i feel so sorry for Stolas here..and i am pretty sure we will have a "Beauty and the Beast" moment by the end of season 2 soon.. like Striker is finally forfilling his mission, to kill him, and Blitz will finally say the "L-Word" to him and than..? Hmm.. Maybe the guys from DHORKS and CHERUB will join forces against hell, so we might have a war or something.. and in the end Luficer himself will show up and say.. "Its over * ichtes!" :p

Blitzo envies Millie and Moxies relationship but won't open himself to have one with anyone. This why he constantly watches them while denying it for himself.
If you look at the pictures on Blitzo's wall he has scratched out his image from all the pictures. It's clear that Blitzo has some self image issues. Can't form healthy relationships with people, so he ends up stalking the only people he knows have a healthy relationship.
Blitz's story is the plot of Good Will Hunting. Push everyone away before they can push you away. A defense mechanism to mask ones own shitty childhood.

It is actually the voice actor of beetle juice. Asmodeous is voice by a singer from a play of a popular show or movie
When a human died it is sent to the Pride Ring which is ruler by Lucifer, the Pride and father and husband of Charlie and Lilith. Hazbin Hotel takes place in the Pride Ring because sinners can be only there. Blitzø, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, Berosika, Strike were born in hell so they come from the other 6 different rings so you would be in Pride with Veggie, Angel Dust, Alastor, Valentino and Vox. Only demons can go to the 7 rings at any time while sinners can only be in the Pride Ring without being able to go to another ring.
I’d love to see y’all react to some Buzzfeeds unsolved it would be super fun
Honestly, neither Blitzo or Stolas are innocent in this situation. Sure, what Blitzo did was not right and he should have just left the two alone, however, when he was being harpooned by the peanut gallery, what did Stolas do? Nothing, and when the spotlight turned to him he hid away behind the menu like a coward. Now, what does that say about him as a lover towards Blitzo? He won't come to his man's defense and he'll hide his own face when he's being called out instead of standing up for both his lover and himself. And when he tried reaching for Blitzo I thought to myself "Don't fucking do it, Stolas, he's clearly hurt and not in the mood.", and from then to the end of their encounter Stolas just could not read the room.

You were spot on about Beetlejuice! They got the VA for Beetlejuice to voice Fizzarolli, and the Broadway Alladdin Genie to voice Asmodeous
When i watched it, I couldn't believe they were able to not only bring back Beetlejuice, but also get the guy that was Genie on the Broadway Aladdin. Can't wait to see part two.

Don't know if they are divorced, but it was implied they are separated now. Stolas in tge beginning in his huge house looking lonely because his family were gone was a hint. Then he said Octavia was spending the weekend with her mom, kinda made it sound like they aren't living together anymore.
Not like Blitzo would know unless he was told even if thats the case. Remember we see more than any single character does.

You can’t do blitz dirty completely thou because stolus tried to leave him behind plus he covered his face in embarrassme. And before he always baby talks him and puts him down as if he’s a object. he’s justified but it’s sad that he doesn’t see stolus trying to make a change

I hope the finale is finally getting Blitzo to finally accept those in his life. All of the enemies they have fased so far have had a direct connection to Blitzo, so hopefully he can fase all of the enemies of his past and move on in trusting Stolas. And he already had his relationship episode with Loona and Moxxie, Millie has always been on the good side with Blitzo. All he has now is to fix his relationship with Stolas and face his past for real instead of just in his hallucination.

Same. And it seems like that might've terribly affected Stolas. I really want to know what happened between the end of Truth Seekers and the beginning of this episode because Truth Seekers ended on a good note but here, Blitzo and Stolas were so distant. I hope they get better soon
