Inventory Management is expensive process for a business, no matter if they produce a good for end customer ( like you said, raw materials, work in progress to finished products ) or they sell finished goods. Simple way for company goods is Pareto principle for any company goods they sell. ABC system. Like you said in this video most of the companies prefer to do annual inventory ( periodic ) but some companies do cycle inventory, which in my part of view is the best method, because you have in real time quantity of company goods ( my manager is not agree with me :), don't know why )
Got level 3 in Inventory management, and level 5 in Operations Management, and now I study Supply Chain Management level 7 !
I saw a couple of your videos.
