I'm so jealous - I started trying to form an English dance orchestra in the 1980s with a little bit of succcess but can never find the players here in the North East. \Love to hear this - the only thing extra would be the few strings to make it comletely English. But I'll listen for days now I've found you
We occasionally work with three violins, but budget don’t usually allow for this, sadly. The British dance band produced some wonderful music, didn’t they… Such a shame that it is so neglected now, especially by the BBC, who should surely keep the flame alive…
Yes, I’ve heard some of the overtures to the stage shows, but I’m not sure that our line-up would be suitable. I remember that the pit band for ‘Girl Crazy’ (1930) included some top jazz musicians, such as Benny Goodman, Jack Teagarden and Glenn Miller!
I love all of Michael's music. What a fabulous team of players and singers!
Thank you very much!
Wonderful performance and excellent channel - love this genre of music - subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Excellent Mr. Law, as is your custom.
Thank you kindly

And have you heard, thought about playing, some of the Gershwin overtures??
