To summarize my position: We should shift our perspective from the way we see bots. Instead of seeing it as "bad vs. good", we should view it from a position for simply what it truly is. It is a tool designed to assist users during the checkout process. A person using tools to assemble furniture should not be shunned for being UNABLE to finish the job with just their bare hands. Since bots and the education required to use them effectively is widely available for little cost, the analogy would be similar to "just going out and buying the tools and learning how to use them."

I think you forgot to mention that intense botting can cause a website to slow down or crash, making the whole shopping experience horrible for everyone. Also you forgot to mention that companies despise botting because botters only go after products they can flip. What about everything else the company sells that doesn’t have resell profit margin? The customers that would buy it are turned off because what good is it to buy the shirt when the matching shoes are sold out thanks in part to botters?!

nah man, I respect your opinion, but botters have ruined the game. the fact that I need to shell hundrends of dollars in applications and time to learn these programs just to make $50 profit on a release or to even have a chance at a pair of sneakers I love (without spending absurd resell prices) is insane...

Companies don't make more, because when bots buy all the shoes companies lose customers that might have bought other things with the shoes. Thereby they make less money.

Bro no offence, the hype is dead and the shoes are too. Devs dont have the same ideas or the same motivations as they used to. Dont try to help this whole situation, fakes are rising as they are manufactured on the same factory that "Nikes" do. Plus people need to understand that they have to give out hours infront of their pc screen and lose many drops till they hit, you make it look easy as you have the connections and supplies to do so but the average or new user wont hit.
