It's good to see the older tractors running again
We had a 79 Tw10 cab with duals and a 9700 cab with duals on our dairy we cut silage with them and baled hay and I loved them as a kid nothing like old iron
Really like theFarmall M tractor
I love those old tractors. My grandfather had a 7710 and after he passed my dad got it. I've spent many hours riding in it. I wore that old toolbox lid plum down. As I got older I ran it a lot. Sure miss it. My dad got rid of it around 4 years ago.
you see that round unpainted in front of the fuel pump. that's a priming pump. there's a little lever on the side of it. slacken the the bleed bolt on the housing were the orange filter is. then pump the little lever. it will fill the fiters. the primer pump may have a small brass filter in side it. to clean it remome the 11mm or 7/16 bolt on the front of the primer pump.
Great video Dane and Dennis
Hard to beat the older tractors I grew up on a 2950 John Deere newer ones just aren’t made the same
My was a 2450 1991 directly from Germany good machines man!!,my grandfather make special order from the dealer CAMOSA Jhon Deere in Honduras 🦾
Hi great series TW good luck with the renovation.👍
👍👍
Great job Dane. You have a new subscriber.
Thats one of the best tractors you'll ever own, fix it up and keep good coolant in it to try stop the block going porous. If it does go, take it apart get the block bored and sleeved . It will still be way cheaper than dealing with all this modern computer junk and emissions crap, that won't run when the $5000 muffler or a computer boards quit. So something else don't work when it's out of warranty needing expensive dealer time or parts are obsolete in 10 years, there's loads of these for used parts and some jobber stuff around to, if news not available.
The other thing is in the bad times were going to be having now, the tractor that you know and is paid for's the one to be running a business with, keeping overhead lower.
Take care of the old girl and she won't do you wrong. Until this health mess hit in Canada as well, I was looking for an 8630 or 8830 4 wd for a new business venture. I want fairly simple cheaper old school Ford power , but need a power shift transmission, for manure spreading. Thanks for the video, Take care guys.
Keep it!! Family history
Glad to see that M fire up cool video that fords a nice tractor to
We have an old 6610 and ended up putting a little $25 inline elctric pump wired to the ignition and ahead of water seperator. Long story short shoulve done it 30 yrs ago, tractor has never started faster.
Thats not a bad idea. Eliminates fuel issues all together. Ill have to do that! Thanks!
The brakes use mineral spirits and have simple valves they are not hard to rebuild or just clean up to make them work
It’s paid for. Keep it.
Are going to use it in the hay field
What's a good starter tractor for hay or just for regular mowing 9 acres
Everyone needs some blue in the stable don’t they ? It will make the others GREEN with envy ! Lol. Or make them blush RED with embarrassment ! Lol. But ya won’t see yellow ones around ! It don’t owe you a thing ! I’d keep it and use it ! If not ya can put her out to MY pasture for sure ! Lol.
How’s the new ford treating you?
👍
