- Simplicity is key for this Civic! Or perhaps not.. This savage took a completely stock 3.5L motor from a 2002 Honda ODYSSEY, slapped some Acura TL Type-S heads/cams in it - as well as a stock (TL Type-S) 6-speed. He was generous to leave enough room for a 72mm turbo, and what has come of it? 800hp and a 189mph trap speed at the 2016 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack! This little hatchback gets the stamp of approval from 1320video!

J’Series are so under rated! Checkout my Turbo J32a3 7th Gen Acccord coupe, making 560whp + on only 8psi! 😏💪🏻 NA it made 316/262 with our Stage 2 Cams.

wokeN1 179 if he put it in a Honda n360 it would only weigh 1100 lbs, and then replace the doors with carbon fiber, remove seats, lexan windows, strip all the weight, itll only way 700lbs 😍

CL Type-S drivetrain in any 5th or 6th gen Honda will pull hard...even without with a damn turbo! :)

+Sean -Nacino Yeah C32s are great engines, sadly though, with its 90 degree banks would tough to squeeze into a little Civic bay :(
J32 has 60 degree banks and was designed as a transverse motor, so it can fit much easier
I miss my cm8 swapped the j30a2 for a j32a3
Man what a awesome V6, the sound alone would get me compliments galore.
I have a j32a2 in my s10, just have a few things left to wrap up the swap. Hopefully there'll be some buzz about it when it finally hits the road haha

even a old ass ford pinto can be a well sorted car if you change every part in but at the point this civic is at is it really a civic anymore other than the body

A very over engineered motor and a lot of luck... with a dash of excellent tuning.
Not much luck. if you have proper tuning these motors are basically indestructible... STOCK TL TRANSMISSION TOO

J series are dope never looked into them until I seen this guy on ig that put one in a s2k stock bottom end with a custom intake and valve work slapped on 2 turbos and hooked it up to a poweglide and it fucking moves he's closing in on 7 sec pass on stock cast pistons

+EarthToFree The 6466 turbo did 739/565 @24psi. The 7285 hadn't been redyno'd since this event but it was in the neighborhood of 890/615 @ 31.5 psi on the larger turbo.

I had a stock 2003 Accord V6 with the 3.0 Liter and it dynoed at 210HP at the wheels, rated at 240HP crank.
One of the best engines in a car I ever had, that thing with a twin turbo KO4S or GT28S would be nasty, I thought about doing that but back then tuning these engines was impossible. Very under rated motor with a lot of potential.
I've always thought Twins on a j- series motor awd conversion would be a beast. no reason why not see mid 1khp. definitely awd would have to be all costume with that power.
This video is what motivated me to get into j series!!!

Odyssey delivered us Honda guys two of the best motors for crazy builds: The F23 and the J35; around in some other stuff, but nothing as accessible and workable as the instances in the Odyssey. Not to mention coupling it with TL Type-S bits.

Love the J Series performance here! I've owned 2 CL Type S, one was the 6 speed manual. That v6 has some great power, very underrated because of the heavy car it was in. Throw that bad boy in a civic and the J32a2/J35 becomes a beast!
