Drill Press Table Hack / woodworking tips

If you plan on making a drill press table, you should make it possible to remove the part that will be in contact with drill bits. This is how I made mine so that I can easily make replaceable plates out of plywood and swap them out when it is necessary. It is also worth mentioning that I offset the plate a little bit towards the back, that way I can spin the plate when I need a clean section to work with.

Why didnt you just use the table first, then replaced it later with the insert when it needed it?

Hole saw has a drill bit in the center that locks it into the work piece. If it’s full of holes, you can’t lock it into position

@ArtisanMade the table locks in place doesn't it? I thought they all did but if it doesn't then yeah that could be a pain
