I remember the first time I watched the pre-Barnabas episodes. The thing that surprised me was Carolyn dating Joe Haskell. By the time I was old enough to see the show on ABC, Joe was involved with Maggie Evans.
I thought another thing that was cool about the early D.S. episodes was at the start of each episode the announcer holding up his little chalkboard saying "Dark Shadows V.T.R. 06-13-66 Air 06-27-66." I noticed on my DVD'S They stopped doing that after Jonathan Frid joined the cast.
what was the biker she started alley catting around with ? buzz ? and the burke crush she had ! she was a hottie for sure !i felt bad for joe . good guys get the shaft ! the best seasons were black and white in my opinion -great channel here !
If it turns out Carolyn doesn't like the color then it's right back to the Car lot to get the one with the color of her liking with her mom ready to back her up.
@@bruce8808 I guess that both Mrs. Stoddard and her brother, Roger, were graduates of Ivy League schools. You would think that Mrs. Stoddard would have insisted that Carolyn also attend one of those renowned schools. Carolyn never did have to work a real job from 9 to 5. Although, Carolyn did work briefly at the Todds’ antique store in Collinsport before Cousin Barnabas torched the place. And, I bet that Roger Collins was absolutely “delighted” when he found out that local, working class guy, Joe Haskell, wanted to marry his beloved niece, Carolyn “Kitten” Stoddard.
Love the low camera angles, wish they would have continued with those. And Liz playing the piano! So cool.
It's so nice to be able to see these early episodes of Dark Shadows! I think they're great! Thanks so much for sharing these! ~Janet in Canada💖💖
I love these early episodes where you see the dynamics among the original characters especially the family.

Such good memories, so nice to see them again, some remembered, some forgotten.

Poor Carolyn, what a “tough” life she has. Her most difficult decision to make is what color car to ask her mother to buy for her.

They seemed to have written ‘Maggie’ in as much tougher initially, because in latter episodes she didn’t seem anywhere near as tough as she does here.
Carolyn always bugged me.
